Ok you all know that there's one song that you listen to when no one else is around or anything to give you a hard time. Guys especially. Personally for me, lately its been "More to Life" by Staci Orrico, I'm not sure why but anytime I hear that song on the radio I just have to turn it up.

Justin Timberlakes has some of the best production value around...it makes even the hardest of musicians envious. Somehow he managed to have one the best produced albums athough the style of music is not everyones taste.

Usually I'm a rock/metal/alternative kind of guy, but when no one's around, I like George Strait. Sometimes I'll take my cowboy hat down from the closet and wear it in front of the mirror holding a brush and performing for myself as if I was George Strait.

I usually listen to metal (the REAL shit, not this nu-breed pussy crap) like Iron Maiden, Slayer, Judas Priest, Children of Bodom and whatnot but when there's no one around.... my guiltiest pleasures are Toby Keith and Hall and Oates. A bit of Chicago from the 70s too. :)

BTW: First guy, Stacie Orrico pwns. I listen to hear all the time.
I listen to anything I want to around anyone, I seriously have no problem telling people what I am listening to in my Walkman or whatever.
I listen mostly to nu-metal like

I didn't know what this song was but behold the power of the internet, and I quickly found out that it was the Spice Girls and it really puts WhipSmartBanky and RedvsBlue into a whole new light. Ya know that kind of light that burns through your retinas until you want to rip your eyeballs out and walk around with the blood streaming from your empty sockets.

anyone have that one type of music they hate, but cant turn off? no? oh well mines disco. I LOATHE disco. but if it comes on, i just start to dance. i know that sounds gay, especially coming from someone who listens to rammstein and rob zombie, but disco makes me dance. it really sucks and is kinda embarrising to be walking down the street and suddenly dancing just because i hear disco.

I am all over the board. I like Rap/R&B a lot R Kelly, Isley Borthers..
Then I go to some of the older stuff Like Nirvana, etc..all the way to Zombie, Powerman5000, Ozzie.
Then back to some old school Like Ton Loc, Young MC, etc... I actuall just saw them both in concert in Saginaw Michigan on Jan 10th, They were along with C&C Music factory (Freedom Williams) and Blessed Union of Souls, Firehouse.. Great Concert in my opinion..
Anyway then on to a few soundtracks like Silent Hill 3 I actually like this cd...
All the way to some BK music...The streets "Pirate Material" Not a bad Cd actually...
And your all going to laugh but the recent few albums dropped by Rob Van Winkle  are actually really good..Seriously.

Oh yeah, this thread is SO coming back from the dead. Defender rocking out to Justin Timberlake? Punq blaring Spice Girls? Yeah.. this needs to be bumped.. bad.
I enjoy Norah Jones.. she puts me to sleep.. Coldplay is nothing to be embarassed about.. John Mayer is alright in some songs, "Covered in Rain" is awesome.. Damien Rice is great.. what else.. umm.. I like one Mandy Moore song from back in the day, only because it holds a personal meaning to me.. ooh, I know, this is the most embarassing thing ever.. John Tesh's winter CD! You guys can laugh all you want, but i'm out by track 3 every time.

Maybe you could listen to those when she was around if you threw a little Queen Latifah or Salt-N-Pepa in the mix.
In any case, I sometimes break out the industrial music of my teens. Most of it was crap, but Blood Meridian by Numb is still a good album, just specacularly noisy.

I love a lot of the stuff some of you guys mentioned (Britney, *NSYNC, plus Aaron Carter, Dream Street, Xtina, Jessica Simpson, a lot of stuff) and I listen to them regardless of who's around. But probably the few songs that I'm a bit "ehh" towards admitting I like are some older classic country songs. I don't like many, but there are a couple that I enjoy a lot which are a tad embarrassing to admit to liking.

90's r&b is my guilty pleasure. You know, like that compilation they've been advertising on MTV (only was watching MTV cuz beavis and butthead was on, BTW). That is actually the music I kinda grew up on (besides the oldies my parents exposed me too, or the OG gangsta rap like The Chronic and Doggystyle that my cousin exposed me to), before I developed taste in music, so that's probably why I like it. Some of those songs really bring back memories.
You know, now that I think about it, I think it's hilarious that I was probably about five or six years old, freshly enrolled in a private catholic school when I use to ride around with my cousin bumpin' doggystyle: "bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks..." none too appropriate.

Nice to see so many metal people here. I never listen to top 40 anything. It is truly the devil's music. It makes me want to destroy everything in my path. Justin Timberlake's album was well produced? So is my feces. I'd rather hear fantastic songwriting played by real musicians that sounded like it was recorded on a piece of wax paper than a great sounding piece of rubbish any day.

Classic rock is cool ... I have The Clash in my car right now :P
I don't like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, et al and never listen to them because they are annoying and make me nauseated. I can't stand country music or jazz. I listen to rap just because some of the lyrics are so outrageous and hilarious.
I have some 80s music that I listen to and I have Euro club mixes, which is about as "embarrassing" as it gets for me. I may listen to Carl Orf's Carmina Burana or some crap like that every now and then if I drink some wine to fall asleep.

When no one else is around, I play some Cash Money Records songs. Those guys are so immaturely sincere in their carnal and materialistic hedonism it's absolutely hilarious.

Given the way 'popular' opinion is going nowadays (and, admittedly, some of the 'kids' who have jumped in on the 'scene'...god, I sound so elitist), I should probably also be ashamed of listening to emo.
Except, y'know, that IS what I play when others are around.
Although, I guess, a lotta people don't classify Alkaline Trio as emo.
Whatever. Just labels.

Wow,
I am not reading this long ass thread of people saying Justin Justin... Almost every other thread I read was someone in the underground movement of Justin.. I havent really heard the cd to know if its good or not..
I personally like a little
SPM (South Park mixican)
Faithless
Frou Frou
The Streets
Those are some of the artists in particular that stand out for being not so "Mainstream"
I pretty much am open to all genres of music. I actually have been able to tolerate some (and I stress the word some) country. Most anything but country works if it has a beat.
I have also noticed that I am starting to trend towards anything with the slight bit of piano work in it against a harsher or deeper set of musical notes.
Ha Ha, you guys like Justin Timberlake. :P I liked N*SYNC when I was like 10, but nothing like that since.
I pretty much always have someone around me, so everything I usually listen to.

I liked Backstreet Boys when they were still alive. I also liked Spice Girls because their songs are just so upbeat and easy to sing along...
I listen to Woman In Love by Barbara Streisand when nobody is around.

I will NOT let this post die! This post contains CAG's greatest quotes:

*whispers*..........LL Cool J *slaps self*
i lissen to the spice girls when people are around, i actully turn it up really loud in the car with the windows down
And it's not like i'm making fun of others, i'm also making fun of myself:
I enjoy Norah Jones
(still) listening to her right now, actually, though it's a song she did with "The Peter Malick Group" called "Deceptively Yours".. From this (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00009QI3R/qid=1119693489/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl15/002-8468822-3228861?v=glance&s=music&n=507846) CD. Click here (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/clipserve/B00009QI3R001003/0/002-8468822-3228861) for a sample of "Deceptively Yours".. it's actually a really good CD, just a little on the short side (30 minutes, 10 seconds).
Oops! I did it again.

Someone once gave me a hard time for liking 'new wave' music. And there are more than a few who didn't enjoy 'modern rock' groups that I like. But I normally listen to music either in private or when in public, I use a headphone. So I don't have any 'special' music I listen to when noone is around.

Lately I pretty much only listen to music when no one's around ... or when I want to pretend no one's around.
There's really nothing. I still enjoy Michelle Branch's stuff, but I don't care if anyone knows so that doesn't really count.

Nothing. I love it, but I'm pretty sure my friends don't listen to it, so I listen to it when I'm alone.

Since no one's usually around me at anytime, I listen to alot of Brian Setzer Orchestra music, and lately alot of Big Band & Swing music, as well as lots of 80's Rock/Pop music too.

I think this thread needs to see the top again because hiccupleftover's thread reminded me of it.
I mean how can we forgot how many Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, and Spice Girls fans we have?
