How much are these games worth?

I stopped by a local video store yesterday looking for some cheap N64 games, but I found that they had some older PS1 games that seemed promising.

I'd appreciate if you guys could help me out with how much these games are worth. Their not for sale right now, just for rent. But if they are worth a bit, I plan on offering to buy them from the owner. The games are:

Suikoden 2 - I don't know if it's the PS1 or PS2 version that's rare.
Ehrgeiz
Star Ocean
Chrono Cross

It seems the PS1 copies of Suikoden 1 or 2 are the rare ones. If it is complete and mint condition then it could up $150 to $200+.

Is the Chrono Cross a Greatest Hit? Sealed GH go for $20. Non-GH should fetch a higher price if they are mint.

That reminds me, I need to get back my copy of Ergheiz :?

The Chrono Cross isn't a greatest hit. They are all opened, and I don't know what condition the actual games are in.

Yeah, it has the book and the back. The case is a little messed up, but I can always fix that. I'm just concerned with what quality the CD is in.

how much is it? odds are the quality wont matter if it a) plays fine, and b) is complete

well if you can get them to play, star ocean and chrono cross are both amazing games. make sure u check out te disc on suiko2 before buying it. ive sold rare games on ebay that were scratched to hell, and if you list it right u can still get good money (be honest about condition, put 2 or 3 pics, offer free shipping) back when puzzle fighter 2 was rare, i sold a disc only copy of thegame and was beat up beyond beleif, but worked perfectly....for $85!

Awesome! I don't have a PS1, but might consider getting one, if I can get these games. I may just hang one to Suikoden 2 for a bit, play it for a while, then sell it on ebay. My initial intentions were to buy them and immediately sell them on ebay, but I may hang on to them for a bit.

No, I sold my PS2 a while back. Have regretted it ever since, but now I'm waiting on the used PS2s to really drop down in price before I go buy another one.

I think I saw that the used PS2s at EB are only 129 which is pretty cheap IMO. You might wanna check it out.

Then again, you can get a brand new Online bundle for only 20 dollars more.

b/c of the price drops, i'd probably wait on the used ps2 a bit. i'm sure it'll drop in price as well.

the suikoden 2 complete (only made it for the ps1) goes anywhere from 50 and more.

i got chrono cross (non-gh) for 20 at gamestop (discount used).

the other 2, i dunno. good luck :D

Well, I went into the store just after work, and immediately picked up Suikoden 2, Star Ocean and Ehrgeiz and went up to the owner. I asked him if he'd sell me the games, only to him immediately saying no but he'd put them all back up for sale around Christmas time.

So, I told him I'd give him $30 for Suikoden 2. To my delight, he said, "Sure, I can't say no to that." Heh heh.

Then, I told him I'd give him $50 for all three and he said yes again! So he goes into the back and picks up Suikoden 2 and Star Ocean, but he said that for some reason Ehrgeiz wasn't back there. I take a look at the discs, and the Suikoden 2 disc is in really good condition. The first disc of Star Ocean is in decent shape, but the second is pretty messed up, so I decided to pass on Star Ocean.

I ended up leaving the store extremely happy with picking up Suikoden 2 for a measly $30. The best part about it is he seemed to have taped the entire cd case with the instructions inside when he immediately bought the game, so the instruction book is in entirely mint condition. Whoo Hoo!

find a ps for like 20 bucks and play suikoden. you wont regret it its an awesome rpg. then after youre done sell the game and the system and buy a ps2! double score!!

Hahaha. I probably could have gotten it for cheaper, but I didn't want to offer him like $15 then him tell me no, and me keep offering more money until he said yes. I figured he'd try to keep going up in price if I did that. So I offered him what he thought was a steal.

He has some other pretty decent games, too. One day, I'll go over there and make a list of what he has. Then I'll post them up here for anyone who wants the games. Now I know this guy will actually sell the games, even though they are still for rent.

I'm just feeling really good about getting this game.

Can you guys tell me why it's worth so much? Is it just that it's a really good game that they didn't make very many copies of?

thats a pretty good deal but not as good as mine i picked up both suikoden 1 and 2 for $20 both from rental shop so they are in used conditiion, number one has average scratching game two has alot but both play perfectly cant wait to sell.Should make a good profit. Although i might hang onto them and get the other 4 games because i already got number 5 so then i could play every game in the set and sell as a set which i can imagine could fetch over $500 easy.
