I have a bunch of these things and they're anywhere from 2 years to 2 weeks old. The older ones claim they're good from like October 03 until February 04. A bunch more have varying expiration/usage periods as well.

Do these registrations really expire???

You used to be able to call and give MS the old code and they'd give you a new one.. but.. not anymore.

Though my copy of Battlefront 2 came with one, and since apparently the masses don't know how to scratch the silver portion, it now comes with a pull tab. And the card itself is glossy.

If you scratch too hard, (like you would a lottery ticket) they're hard as hell to read.

As far as expiring or not, yes and no. I've been unable to use expired 2-month free trials, but back in September I used an expired one and was able to create an account.
