Ok this is gonna sound very far fetched cause I really don't have any good descriptions, but one of my ladyfriends was telling me about this game she played when she was little (it's an old school NES game). All she could remember was that it involved mice. In fact she calls it "the mouse game". Any ideas at all? Perhaps just some titles that I could look up and throw at her?
Thanks

it's not rescue rangers. She said it was on old school NES so I'm not sure about "Mousetrap" if you're saying that's on Colecovision

MM is hard as hell. I played it again for the first time in 15 years about a month ago and it was game over in like 3 rooms.

It could have been Mappyland by Namco, although it could have been any iteration of the Mickey Mouse games (maybe Mickey Mousecapade) by Capcom, although I would think that that would have been one of the first things she would have mentioned if it was Disney-related.
And if that's the one you can pretty much get Mappyland on one of the Namco Plug-n'-Play setups, although I think it may also be on the new Namco Anniversary release for PS2, XBox, GC, etc.
[Edit:] Mickey Mousecapade...I tried beating that one night a year ago just so I could keep up my "Beat 3 Games per Day" goal of clearing out my backlog. Dear lord, how were kids supposed to get through the forest? Seriously. You had to go in the right trees at the right times (sometimes in the second cycle of the stage) just to beat it. And everything afterwards? Good luck, children!
