It's on sale at CompUSA for $39.99 and is it worth it? Has the online issues been fixed yet? Any lag?

Only worth it if you plan to play on Live. They seem to have fixed most of the problems, only big thing is that some times, your stats doesnt get updated or they even get erased also.

And you can't make your own servers.

I plan to play it on Live, so would you say it's worth it? Is it better than Battlefront 2?

I'm really dissappointed with it. EA servers are the worst.

I rented it and it doesn't seem as fun as the demo was. I am actually having a lot more fun with CoD2: Big Red One online. The maps are awesome and I like the team deathmatch a lot. More mature players on there too. Battlefield 2 is like all the Halo kids got together and didn't bring any of the cool halo players with.
I was playing a game on a jungle map and our team could not do anything because when we spawned we were all hit with flashbangs and sniped. It was not my idea of fun. Also flashbangs' effects last approximately as long as it takes for an enemy sniper to remove your head. Get CoD2.. much much better single player, and great online play.

I need a review on that game.. mainly a multi player review. Ive been thinking of buying it for some time.

I was actually really surprised with the maturity of the games I've played. There's occasional a jackass amongst everyone, but they are usually booted rather quickly.
Then again, I almost play exclusively in non-ranked games.
Either way, I was really surprised with it. I figured it was going to be as awful as the port of Counter Strike.

It's worth it if you play on Live and with friends. You can't choose your own servers, but you get to choose which map you want to play after each game. There are 2 gametypes. CTF and Conquest. Conquest is what is mainly played, and is the most fun. It's actually all I play. I got it in the TRU B2G1 and don't regret it. It's no Halo, but it's a good substitute.
