I have fought my way through the abandoned space station on Mars, through the ruined cities of Earth, and to the depths of hell in nightmare mode, killing thousands of enemies along the way, but that last level is fucking IMPOSSIBLE!

Any tips?

Wow, that's sad that I still remember those, I think. Don't I have useful information that could be put into that spot in my brain?

Seriously, though, I never was good enough (or never let myself get good enough) at Doom to get anywhere near that far on Nightmare. Best of luck!

Umm... which Doom, 1 or 2? And if Doom 1, which episode? There's about 5 levels you could mean all with different ways you could go about beating them ;)

edit: daroga, part of the challenge of nightmare is that you can't use cheat codes.

Its the very last level of doom, where you spawn in the middle of a room fll of Barons of Hell, then you go into another room full of Cacodemons.

I can't believe I wasted so much time playing this game, I am going to wear outthe buttons on my micro! Also, I read there are over 3000 enemies on nightmare mode, is this true?

OH! Doom for GBA. That's E2M9 in the PC version, and yes, it is a bitch. I don't know about the GBA version, but in the PC version enemies respawn on Nightmare, so there is an unlimited number of enemies. My only advice is to try and kill one of the Barons with some high tech weapon, rocket launcher or above and then run into his alcove and dodge the onslaught of fireballs from the other Barons. In the second room, your best bet would be to stay in the doorway and take the Cacos out from there. Good luck.

I thought the last level in doom 1 was against the Spidermind? I remember the Icon of Sin level in Doom 2 being damn hard too.

Oh, and the Doom games have good soundtracks which are finally being remixed on remix.overclocked.com

The GBA Doom 1 is different than the PC version. the PC had episodes ending against a pair of Barons, a Cyberdemon, and 2 vs. a Spider Mastermind.

Doom 2 for GBA, on the other hand is supposed to be a true 100% port.

My roomate complains and says there's no way to beat the last level of DOOM 64...he complains about it quite often, actually. I've never actually played it myself.
