GBA Shinning Soul - $20
GBA Super Sumos - $15
GBA Ozzy & Drix - $15
GBA Finding Nemo - $20
GC/PS2/XB/GBA Fairly Odd Parents - $20
XB/PS2 Slugfest 2004 - $20
XB/PS2 Spyhunter 2 - $20
XB/PS2 NFL Blitz Pro - $20
XB Raw 2 - $20
GC WMXIX - $20
XB Rainbow Six 3 - $40
PS2 Maximo ArmyZin - $30
PS2 War of the Monsters - $30
PS2 My Street - $30
PS2 Dark Cloud 2 - $30
PS2 Amplitude - $30
PS2 Arc of the Lad - $30
PS2 989 Sports games from last year (2004) - $30
PS2 Final Fantasy X-2 - $40
PS2 Primal - $30
PS2 Downhill Domination - $30
PC Hotwheels World Race - $15
PC Call of Duty - $40

Not bad drops, especially on alot of the Sony First Party stuff from last year. GC/XB wrestling games are basically on the budget titles now and so is Fairly Odd. I do expect Maximo to drop again in a couple of months to $20 but having it in stock would be another story at that time. I do wish that some of the PS2 first party stuff would have went Greatest Hits... seems like quite of few of them sold enough but I don't know.

doesn't seem like anything too big (IMO). hasn't dark cloud 2 been $30 for a while....infact i think i've seen it for 20 at other places, and ff x-2 is $25 at bb this week (i think).

There was also one PS1 game price drop effective today:

Final Fantasy Origins - $14.99.

Picked that up, along with Megaman Legends 2 and Blaster Master for $10 each, new at Blockbuster. My PS1 collection's feeling the love today.

These markdowns are done by the publishers, not the retailers. You can look at EB and Gamestop and they basically list the same prices so quit your bitching.

TRU IS ALWAYS behind as far as marking things down(I should know I worked in the game dept. for years) I was always tired of seeing games 9.99-19.99 elsewear when TRU would sell it for 50.00 ex. sky gunner 9.99 new at meijer 9.99, used at eb, etc... $50.00 bucks at TRU I have nothing against the posting of the markdowns I just think that it is funny when TRU is behind the times(not as bad as kmart though :D )

Nothing really special on that list. I would like to pick up Shining Soul just because it's become so hard to find now in my area (plus I'm really enjoying Shining Soul II).

New markdowns are ALWAYS appreciated, but TRU just has the worst of the markdowns...always. Games are always cheaper other places, Dark Cloud 2 for 30.00? Meh, I'll keep my 7.50 Target copy, or the 9.99 Best Buy one. Crazy!

Only deal I've ever loved from TRU was the buy 1 get 1 Value games...I took advatage of that one like crazy. I got 6 new games for less than 40.00.

TRU has gotten slightly better with the timing of markdowns, but not the price. You'll rarely see those insane clearance prices at TRU because they simply have too much shelf space to spare. The two TRUs near me still have Dreamcast sections, for god's sake. The TRU I work at has approximately 200 PS2 and GBA game facings, and somewhere around 150 for XB and GC. That can be 150 to 200 unique games per system at any given time. Go to Target and count how many facings they have per system, and you'll see why they need to clear the shelves more often. I never understood why people complain about TRU's selection.

Other than price, however, I will say that TRU has a serious fault of not getting in the more niche titles. Never got in either PSO for GC. Never got Culdcept. Yet, they send out empty clamshells (display boxes) for those games. :P Seriously, a game has to be old and busted before you get a nice clearance price on it at TRU. I scored a copy of Buster Bros. Collection for PS1 for $1, because it fell out of the system and wouldn't ring up at all. The game was on the shelf for seven years. I'm expecting those 8 copies of Dragon Warrior 7 we have to end up the same way in about three years. And, those two copies of Arc the Lad Collection... And, those 13 copies of MGS2 Substance for XB... And, all those Dreamcast sports games.... And...

Yeah I have noticed that a lot, Toys R Us never seems to have really low clearance prices on games unless they are going to stop carrying games for the system like how they had a huge Gameboy Color and Dreamcast clearance a few months ago.

Toys R US carried 39.99 Suikoden IIs up until about a year ago...I miss those days.

Oddly, here, TRU shelves are overstocked...with the value bins overflowing and not enough room for GBA games and accessories...yet they still have 60.00 N64 games and 30-40.00 Dreamcast games. Makes no sense huh?

Then we have Target, inside the glass case half of one entire case section is ALWAYS empty....ALWAYS....yet they always run decent clearances and the value section is always low also.

Odd....very.

not to be harsh . . . but

I almost never buy at TRU . . . they have awful prices . . . $30 for War of the Monsters?!? . . . I got it for something like that as a sale price 15 months ago (it launched at $40). Primal can be found new for $10 -- wasn't it $8 at EBGames.com at one point. Others have been cheaper . . .
