I was just wondering of some great stuff to make a tracklisting and some other stuff. Anybody know of some? I'm a bit stumped at the moment.

To start off the thread though, I'll post three that I know of:

Golden Earing - Twilight Zone

The Cult - She Sell Sanctuary

The Cult - Fire Woman

Someone had to do that, and I thought it would probably be you, Scorch.

Seriously, someone should make an Ultimate 80s Song Playlist.

People Who Died by the Jim Carroll Band and Ant Music by Adam and the Ants are two faves of mine. I also love the original Generation X version of Dancing With Myself.

Anything by The Jam or The Specials is golden.

Morrissey Rides a Cockhorse - The Warlock Pinchers
Everyday is Halloween - Ministry
Revenge - Ministry
It's My Life - Wendy O. Williams
Crippled Children Suck - The Meatmen
Endless Blockades for the Pussyfooter - GISM
Dominion - The Sisters of Mercy
It Must Be Love - Madness
EDIT: Rhythm of the Night - DeBarge (with respect to Berry Gordy's "The Last Dragon")

That's sort of my early morning pre-coffee stream of consciousness; they're "cultish" to me, but by no means pop chart hits. I'm trying to think of some of the playlists from when I'd go clubbing on 80's nights...failing miserably.

I'm trying to think of that fucking "boom boom boom/let's go back to my room" song...if I don't get it out of my head, I'm going to weep.

Any 80s song in Donnie Darko is awesome. I dont feel like checking what they are right now but I remember one is Head Over Heels possibly by the Thompson Twins.

Sigue Sigue Sputnik

This group made me think that synthesizers should be outlawed.

New Order

This group convinced me otherwise.

Heh nice thread. First one that comes to mind is Together in Electric Dreams, by Human League. Not sure if that qualifies as obscure though.

Human League only had two major hits I can think of (Don't You Want Me and (Keep Feeling) Fascination), so that sure works.

Midnight Oil - Beds Are Burning
Yep, that's a good one. Two more:

Land of Confusion, Phil Collins
Rock Me Amadeus, Falco
