I have a question for the board.

I am getting married in October and just finished my attendant gifts. The groomsmen got poker chip sets, the ushers got engraved beer mugs (with matching mini beer mug shot glass). I have a 13 year old brother (half brother...if I saw him everyday this might be easier) who will be acting as a greeter. I need a gift idea for him. Think $20 or less.

Keep in mind that this is a wedding, so getting him a copy of GTA Vice City probably isn't that great of an idea.

Thinking back to my own youth, I have to point out that any self-respecting 13 year old would have VC already.

Edit: Can he appreciate nerdish stuff? If so, the binary clock (http://www.thinkgeek.com/cubegoodies/lights/59e0/) is a nice piece of furniture for a bedroom. I can attest to how cool they look, all blinking and whatnot...with their cold blue lights...sending you thought beams in the night...commanding terrible things...

Ha, ha.

He plays too much on the computer so he isn't allowed to have a next-gen system. He just has a Playstation. My point being, video games aren't an option.

It sounds like you are wanting to give gifts that are more personalized, otherwise I would recommend a gift certificate.

I was at one wedding where the groom gave his 13ish-old half brother some picture frame or something that had his most valuable baseball cards from his youth framed in it. I thought it was a neat idea, and his brother loved it.

Diiz has the right idea, it has to be a little more personalized. Video games will not work. Gift certificates might work but I'd rather not. And I am aware that asking someone for ideas kinda takes away from the personalization of the gift...but I thought I could get some leads...

the clock jmcc mentioned is really very cool. a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hand of it, you end up being a huge geek. i, of course, have one and can quickly tell time on it.

A Swiss Army knife. You can get those engraved on the case or the blade.

This is old school, but give him a BB-gun or Pellet gun. Don't forget to tell him "not to put somone's eye out"
