I went to test a system out that I planned on trading with someone today and it will not work. Actually 3 of my black dreamcast are doing the same thing. When you turn the system on you get the orange swirl and then it goes to the date and time. At that point I cant adjust the time or anything. It is as if the controller is broke. I've tried several conrollers and I also tried yelling at the system to no luck. Anyone know of a fix?

No prob. Also, try putting in a regular music CD to see if it is spinning the disc.

The Dreamcast doesn't have problems. I don't know what you're talking about.

Hmmm anyone know if the dreamcast has a clock battery? Might want to try replacing that if it does.

Open it up and see if the ribbon cable from the controllers is connected to the motherboard. Also have you tried using diffrent controllers? It sounds like the controller to me.

I think it the controoler card. From what i've been reading the resister goes bad. Here is the link I found in case this happens to anyone else.

Also it wouldn't be the clock battery. Mine is dead, I know this because if I shut the power off it asks for the date next time I start it.
