Rolling Stone sucks and Pitchfork is OK but I don't know where else to look.

I like pitchfork cause it covers all the random bands I listen to and their reviews are hilarious and usually intelligent.

other than that, I usually just go to the band's website.

I used to check Shoutweb (http://www.shoutweb.com) way back, but I don't know how good they are now... should be good if you're into heavy shizz.

Rolling Stone does indeed suck, but Pitchfork is still the best. IGN surprisingly has turned to be pretty good with their reviews on music also.

Pitchfork buys into "sub-hype" way too much.

For metal, Blabbermouth is the best. The people who post there though are vicious and not for the faint of heart. If you go for the news, its good...
