Is it just me or are the blur effects when boosting in Burnout 3 are not as amazing as everyone says it is? Or is it my copy of the game? I got a Platinum Hits copy of Burnout 3. Are the blur effects more amazing in Revenge?

The blur effects and over feeling of speed is a bit better in Revenge, but not as big of an improvement as 3 was over 2.

It blew me away the first couple of weeks that I played it.. then I guess my eyes sort of adjusted and it didn't seem as fast anymore.

I had never heard they were supposed to be amazing. The game's fast but the blur is only part of that. I doubt the platinum hits has any technical difference from the original.

Why would they do that? If the blur effects are one thing they decreased, what else did they make worse?

Changes for Greatest Hits/Platinum Hits/Player's Choice copy of games have been done before. In the original version of Chrono Cross, the song 'Radical Dreamers' was sung in Japanese while the Greatest Hits copy had the song sung in English. Other games have been rereleased with minor improvements. I haven't noticed any games becoming worse after being rereleased though.

The PS2 effects are inferior to the Xbox that's why.
On the Xbox the sparks and blur effects are beautiful!

Platnium Hits is the Xbox version. If he had said "Greatest Hits" you would be correct. ;)

Actually I've read that there are spark effects in the PS2 version that aren't present in the Xbox version.
