Gamestop xbox360 preorder

On september 21 i pre ordered my xbox360 i was told i was in the second shipment i guess i was just lookin for opinions on when i might be gettin this thing, hopefully by the end of the month?

Camping out at a local Wal Mart, Best Buy or Target would be the best bet. Try calling your local stores to find out how they're handling the launch.

Mine told me their second shipment should be before the end of November. I'd take that with a grain of salt though. I was first one in the second shipment until someone canceled so now I will get one on launch day. You might want to keep checking for cancelations.

Hmm...you managed to get into the 2nd in Sept :-k my GS was on their 3rd by then, congrats :applause:, I preordered in May and my GS isn't even handing them out until the 23rd and they still don't know where I stand :roll:

I pre-ordered my system thru Gamestop on June 18th.
I found out that I am not getting one on launch, apparently my Gamestop had around 100 reservations and are only getting 18 Premium systems and 4 Core systems at launch.

My 'source' at the local Best Buy said that they are only going to have 50 systems total and that people have already been asking about waiting in line starting Sunday...

Microsoft is really screwing up this launch.
If what I have read online is true, and they are intentionally 'rationing' systems to avoid the problems Sony experienced with the PS2, then I can appreciate what they are trying to do.

However, is it worth pissing off the support of those gamers who reserved a system 6 months ago?

I seriously doubt anyone is going to stand in front of Best Buy on Sunday when the 360 isn't going to be available there until 8am Tuesday.

I called my GameStop yesterday and I pre-ordered on September 10th and I was 104th on the list out of 160 pre-ordrers (which they just stopped taking a couple of weeks ago). The only thing they'd tell me is tht they were getting 16 premium systems in for launch and expected to get "replenish shipments" weekly from not until Christmas. He also went on to say that if you haven't pre-ordered by now, you may not be able to get a unit until March or April...

He offered me some consolation saying that some GameStop stores had over 400 pre-orders and only received 32 units, so I was in a better position than most. Personally, I'm going to try to hit Wal-Mart Monday night around 8PM and see if there's any line but if that doesn't work I'll head to BestBuy with my PSP & DS (and a cooler of beer in my car) waiting for the morning. I figure if I'm one of the first 40 in line there then I should be fine.

Thank God I live in Florida now and not Michigan as its a lot easier to bear 55 degree weather at night versus 15 degree weather...
