Yes I know theres 95.3 billion topics like this, but I'm looking for certain games in particular.

I recently bought an Xbox. I currently have 3 games. Halo 2, Forza, and Def Jam: Fight for New York. First off, I'm trying to get at least one Xbox exclusive (preferably the best) for each of the following genres (not including the 3 I already have):
FPS
Puzzle
RPG
Racing
Fighting
Action

Futhermore, I do not have and never will have Xbox live. I have a PC for online gaming. I want my Xbox games to either have some sweet splitscreen or system link action. Price for the games really isn't important (blasphemous I know) but as always cheaper is better.

To start things off, I have been told that Ghost Recon 2 and Summit Strike are some great split screen games. Anything with Co-Op on the main game is xtra groovy.

Thanks in advance.

FPS - Far Cry: Instincts, Halo, Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.
Puzzle - Not sure.
RPG - Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Fable: The Lost Chapters.
Racing - Project Gotham Racing 2.
Fighting - Dead or Alive 3 and Ultimate.
Action - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

All of these games can be had for very cheap (Fable: TLC being the most expensive at $20 and hard to find in stores) and they are among the best the system has to offer. While some of them are not exclusives, their best version exists on the Xbox (Chaos Theory, Brother in Arms, etc.)

Awesome start, I got another suggestion that ninja gaiden isn't halfbad, but after doing a search I found 2 versions, ninja gaiden and ninja gaiden black. Anyone know the difference/ which is better?
Also, are there any, Baldur's Gate: DA esque Xbox exclusives?

oops, forgot about Ninja Gaiden. Definitely go with Ninja Gaiden Black, it has a bunch of extras, and it's the same price as the original anyway.

If you want a racing game you HAVE to get either Burnout 3: Takedown or Burnout Revenge.
If you are into Star Wars then go with Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2 for an RPG (if you're not into Star Wars go with Elder Scrolls for RPG). Other than the games I just said, every game mentioned in this thread is worth having.

Bard's Tale is underrated IMHO. I know its available for PS2 as well but its cheap and has a whole lot of charm.

If you want a fighting game alternative to DOA, check out Guilty Gear X2 #Reload. Probably the best 2D fighter of this gen methinks.

Anybody mention Doom 3 for FPS yet?

Action games - try Otogi 1/2 if you want something a little offbeat.

I just finally bought an Xbox this month as well, so cheers mate! Let me know what's good!

If you're into racing simulations, Forza Motorsport takes the cake.

I have Guilty Gear X2 for my playstation 2, but I also see that #Reload is an Xbox exclusive. What are the differences between the original and reloaded?

If you're looking for a game like BG:DA that is an X-box exclusive, I would say check out Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes. It basically the same exact game.

fps/fighting-breakdown really underrated very few people know about it.it's completly first person(even cutscenes but there called events and you can walk around while they talk)it's first person shoting but you'll likely find yourself mostly first person fighting.Awesome game and very, very innovative, mindblowing storyline.Might be tough to find but i've seen it at eb games.:)

FPS-Far Cry Instincts
Racing-Rallisport Challenge 2
Fighting-Dead Or Alive Ultimate

I can't think of a single RPG that is ONLY on the xbox except Metal Dungeon and you DON'T want that (unless you consider action RPGs RPGs, which I don't, but if so, Jade Empire). Same with puzzle. And "action" is a little broad don't you think? Aren't the vast majority of video games "action"?

For racing games I would suggest Forza, PGR 2 and Moto GP 2.

No joke on ebay right now you can get XBOX games for cheap if you buy them in lots.

I scored GTA:SA for 20 bucks sealed and free ship and the lot included MADDEn 04 and NFL Fever 04 im going to get rid of the football games and make most my money back.

Won Time Splitters 2 for around 4 bucks.

Shenmue 2 = six bucks

DOA: Ultimate - 15

I dunno, I always felt action was a 3rd person fastpaced kill/blow stuff up affair. Theres platformers (more jumping than killing), stealth (kill stuff but so slow and yawnfest), and Adventure (usually an overworld of somesort, exploring a vast landscape, less action more puzzling). But those all have their own category. So, basically, no, I don't think action is too broad

Also you might wanna consider the great classic complitation games like:

Midway Arcade Treasures 1 or 2 (MK II + III!!)
Megaman Collection
Sonic Mega Collection

All these games are 20 bucks or less and have a shitload of classics on em'

Shenmue II
is really cheap you could find it for 9 or under and is a huge action/adventure/fighting game.

Dead or Alive Ultimate: You can't go wrong 2 discs and 20.00 or under DOA 2 has a shitload of thigns to unlock amazing fast paced fighting with a fitting soundtrack that doesn't annoy the piss out of you.

GTA Double Pack - own both the ps2 classics for 20.00 a great deal and hours of gameplay.

Elder Scrolls IV: Morrowind:This is a hugeeee 3rd person action adventure RPG, so many different paths and quests and armor and weapons and you can do alot in this game and you'll lose weeks of your life to it.

I can't recommend Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath enough. Great game and a nice mix of 1st person shooting and third person fighting...although weighted more towards FPS. It is one of the best games this generation that I have played.

I would also recommend Ninja Gaiden Black. I just started it, but it's very fun so far and challenging. I am stuck pretty early on a boss, but I haven't been frustrated to the point that I want to stop playing.

So far, those are the only Xbox games I have played (aside from Burnout 3 at my brothers house for like 30 minutes) since I got my Xbox.

FPS-Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike, Riddick
Puzzle- Tetris Worlds
RPG- Jade Empire, Fable
Racing-Stickin' with Forza
Fighting- Guilty Gear X2 #Reload (No DOA, I just don't like the xbox controller for it)
Action- Ninja Gaiden Black

I have the original Farcry on my PC. Is instincts so different that its worth getting on Xbox as well? I thought it was a great game for PC.

Beyond Good and Evil if you don't have it for any other system. It's WAY underrated, IMO. $10 at most too.

Halo 1 for system link, up to 16 players. I see you have 2.

FarCry

Metal Arms another good one for a cheap cost.

Mercenaries - great game for the price

Conkers is fun!

Serious Sam another FPS for cheap. You might be surprised with it, but check some reviews because some didn't like it.

Crimson Skies - Sucks on Live (which you don't want, but is great without)

Any GTA - especially San Andreas, but start with the double pack?

Jurassic Park - If you like this type of game, it's different

Either TimeSplitters game

Silent Hill and The Suffering for survival horror

Conflict Dessert Storm is good for a 4 person experience

Both Buffy games are pretty good if you like that type game

MGS 2 and 3

We like Nascar games because 4 player (2005 is not 4 player though)

Max Payne's are okay

KOTOR, Ninja Garden, Morrowind (Game of the Year edition) for RPG

all the Prince Of Persia games are good

Project Gotham (both), Burnout 3, and Need For Speed Underground are good

Splinter Cell's

Riddick is awesome

Brothers in Arms: Road to the Hill

There are a lot more, but IMO, if you like the type of game each represents, you can't go wrong with any of these.
