Changing Gamertags on 360

Is it true that you can change your gamertag on the 360 without creating a new account. If anyones knows I'd apprectiate it.

I think OXM reported that it would be, but it might cost a few marketplace points to do so.

I heard you can but there gonna charge you a few points to do that. You have to buy points on xbox live. It would be nice if they gave you one name change every year.

Yes, but it costs $10, or $10 worth of points.

Any word on what they're going to do with old Gamertags that expired? I'd like my original one back if possible.

Ouch thats alot of oney just to change a gamer tag. I believe you can cancel your account and they will refund what you didnt use. Then just resign up with your new xbox.
