right on, I don't have much coming up in the immediate week (this paper i'm writing is due in december) but everything is packed in my last 2 weeks, along with worrying about moving to a new school, which happens next semester. every minute counts for me at this point, even when I'm slacking.

that said, every 15 minutes that I write, I spend about 45 minutes screwing around on the net looking at 360 vids and pics. no wonder why it's taking me 5 hours to write this piece :lol:

Yep, took me 4 or 5 tries, but it eventually worked. I'm already seeing that a 20GB hard drive is not going to be nearly big enough though. I've already downloaded a NBA Live demo that is close to 500MB!

Well, to stream movies you have to have a Windows Media PC. To stream music, you can have an XP PC and you just download a program from xbox.com to set it all up. Really easy.

I didn't move, and the rental office does not accept packages on our behalf. The UPS man just left the PIAB on my doorstep without requiring a signature. I was home all day and did not hear or see a UPS truck drive by (neither did the watch cat, who is stationed by the patio window facing the road most of the day when she is awake).

Yea, I am going to be talking with pepsi about this to see if they will give me a tracking number at least. I am a bit of a conspiracy theorist, so the situation which you describe above kind of worries me. They sent out 9600 of the systems probably from the same address so I'm sure that the UPS guys knew what was in the boxes and they will undoubtedly be difficult to come by for awhile, so I'm sure that there was some temptation for the UPS guys. Even if they weren't gamers, they might be interested in selling them at a profit or snagging one for one of their kids. It may be hard to prove anything if one was stolen.

Knowing UPS, though, it could just have gotten damaged in transit. Last week I saw a box containing some chemical that a vendor had shipped (and obviously marked that it contained a chemical) that was completely smashed. Another colleague had a box containing a bottle of fuming nitric acid (pretty nasty stuff!) that arrived smashed and the metal can that the bottle was in was also noticeably damaged. I have seen a piece of glassware worth $1k (vacuum manifold) smashed in shipping, and have heard stories of people shipping computers that arrived to their destination in many pieces.

Would UPS just give me the money for it if it was their fault? Of course, the biggest kick in the teeth would be not getting the damn thing and having to fight the IRS over taxes on it.

Apparently there was an "error in delivery" whatever the hell that means, and I will recieve it at my old address tomorrow. I have people watching out for the package. If anything else goes wrong Im gunna raise hell till they send me another to the right address.
