I called GameCrazy yesterday and asked if they had any XBOX 360 Games for sale. The first thing the salesman asks is if I have their membership enrollment. I say nope. He says ok, let me check to see if we have any XBOX 360 Games in stock. He gets back to me in about 20 seconds and says, yep, we have Condemned, Need For Speed, and Tony Hawks Wasteland in stock. So I say super! I will take Condemned! He says that there is no street date for Condemned and that he cannot sell it to me. I say, if it does not have a street date, you can sell it anytime you want. He says, okay I will work out a deal with you. If you come in and buy a membership for $19.99, I will sell you the game today! This is the only way I can sell this game. So I say, thats rediculous! That's not a deal, I will be spending $20.00 more for nothing! He goes on to say, well you will save 10% and I will give you a free hat! WHAT A BARGIN!!!! So I finished the conversation by saying that he was insane, then hung up. They are truly crazy at GameCrazy!!!!

He said it was some kind of VIP Membership that would grant me 10% off any game today, and 10% off of any pre-owned game for a year. Big Whoop!!!!

Was browsing at GC yesterday and while I was there, the manager was calling all those who had pre-ordered the 360 but were not getting one at launch (I think he said the store was getting just 12 systems.)
Had to laugh while he was trying to discourage anyone from cancelling their pre-order - He went on about how if they hadn't pre-ordered months ago, they had no chance of getting the system anywhere else and that he himself was just number 143 on the pre-order list at Best Buy and they were only getting the same number of systems as he was. :-)
Of course he then went on to promise that they would be getting plenty more systems in the next week or two so they'd be assured of getting one by X-mas.
