I want to get a Nintendo DS for my girlfriend for Xmas, along with Nintendogs and Animal Crossing. So I would go for either one of the Nintendogs bundles, except I don't think she would like the color of either system. I'd get the Mario Kart bundle for the red DS, but she probebly wouldn't like the game and i'd still have to buy Nintendogs. Or I could get the regular DS and buy Nintendogs seperatly, but that's extra $$. I suppose it comes down to living with a bad color, getting a game she doesn't want, or forking out extra $$.
Blah, looks like i'm gunna have to either ask her if she likes either color, ruining the suprise, or just spend the extra $$.
On a related topic, anyone know if Animal Crossing is going to be set up like the one on the GC? That is, have up to four players in the town and you can switch between them? Or is it one player per town and you gotta have a diffrent copy for another player?

Pay the extra $10 then. Get her a Silver/Blue DS and spend the extra $10 and get her any copy of Nintendogs, or an extra $15 and get Mario Kart. Nintendo does not even have to offer these bundle deals at all considering there compeition is twice as much.

spend the extra, for 10 bucks more she's still suprised and never know about this whole "do I buy one that she won't like as much or spend extra?".

Just buy the bundle and keep the receipt. If she doesn't like it, retunr it and then spend the extra $10 to get her a different set. If she does like it, you've saved yourself $10 and kept it a surprise.

Circuit City a few weeks ago did the same 'bundle' deal for Nintendogs but let you choose the DS and the version you wanted. They MAY do it again...who knows.

The game that is included in the regular bundle a special version, I think it might have all the dogs in it. I saw it was going on Ebay for $40-50.

If you're talking about the version of Nintendogs coming with the bundle that is selling now, the Teal/Pink colors, that is the 'Best Friends' version. It starts you with 6 most popular brreds of dogs from the three games. All dogs are available, yes, but all dogs are avaialable in all versions, so I don't see why this one would be special.

I might actually consider doing that, as I've been eyeballing a DS for a couple weeks now. Otherwise, I'm not too big on the DS bundles... I'm not one for brightly colored portable systems.
