It seems to me that the best time to unload your 360 is right now or within three days.
I say this because 360 premiums are selling in the range of (600-$900) as people are aniticipating a shortage. Those people are right to assume there will be a shortage at launch as many sources have confirmed a particularly low unit output numbers throughout stores, but how long will this shortage last????
For one lets examine this situation in detail. It's a new system launch at one of the highest price points we have seen in the last 15 years. The marketing of this product has been very risky as most of the commercials are give aways and commercials that have nothing to do with the freaking product. These facts lead me to believe that after the intial launch numbers are hit (by hardcore gamers) how many more units can be moved at this price? The Japanese market has made it clear as you see tons of 360s laying around. Also, there have been many reports that shipments will arrive on a week to week basis at stores..
So my question is will there be a "real" shortage or is it going to be a sporadtic shortage (a shortage that occurs inbetween shipments)?
My advice is to sell when the shortage is at its peak.. But if im wrong and there is indeed a shortage like the ps2 you will be losing out on $200 extra profit per unit sold.
