Sword of the Berserk: Guts Rage

I own this game for Dreamcast, but I went to play it yesterday and the disc wouldn't load (it was scratched slightly, but I guess enought to make it not work). I looked on Ebay and the game is going for like 10-15 and @ Amazon it starts @ 27ish. Anywhere I can find this for like 5 other than EB (all the ones near me have no games left for dreamcast).

why not try to repair the disc at ebgames or gamestop, I remember reading that they do that kind of service for a few bucks.

My experience is that disc resurfacing has never worked with my dreamcast games. (MDK2 and NFL2k) I have never had a problem with cd or dvd based games, but I could never get the dreamcast ones to work.

I hate to say this, but if its just a minor scratch, it may be your DC. Had to put one to sleep because it started to do that with all my games...

Hmmm, the price on this game went up. I bought it a year or two ago for pretty cheap. I'd say you might find some luck at a pawn shop.

My Gamestop had all their DC games on sale for 30% off, so that would be a pretty good if the price isn't too much to start off.

First you had the DVD's coming out for it, and now the Manga series is out, so there's renewed interest in it.

Yeah, the the movies seemed really good. I think I only saw the first one, maybe the second one, too. But they were really, really good. I liked to get the background that wasn't there in the game.

I've heard a few rumors that a sequel may come out on the PS2. Anyone else heard this?

Sammy announced a new PlayStation 2 sword fighting action game called Berserk, which is the sequel to the Dreamcast anime based action game Berserk. The game is being developed by Yuke's.

This was announced last year, though so I don't know how accurate it still is.

Apparently if you buy the new Vampire Panic game, you'll get a Berserk demo with it.

Unfortunately it's an import, so it'll be expensive. Hopefully the Berserk game comes out in the US. The anime series, manga, and Gut's Rage were all awesome. I would actually go buy a PS2 to play it.

Yeah, I've been planning on buying a PS2 for a while. Mostly just for the RPGs and Defender of the Crown (I don't care how many bad reviews it got, the first one was kick ass, so this one has to be too.), but that would certainly be a welcomed addition.

The same people supposedly did EOE for PS2 while not as balanced or as cool as Berserk it did have a lot of the same game play ideas...

I hope to see the sequel soon too, my brothers DC still works and all so I doubt he'd be looking to get rid of it for anything less than your first born and your wife.
