On a completely unrelated note: there are some nice benefits to buying dead systems. Finding games for my new Dreamcast isn't easy, but I just got Shenmue, Space Channel 5, and Jet Grind Radio for $5 each. For that little money, it's all worth it. :D

I saw perhaps the saddest thing today.

I had gone to a Sports Card/Anitique show today, at a venue that routinely has people in to sign.

Now, just as a baseline, even second stringers for the Lions and Tigers will draw people. Retired athletes, old TV stars, and even some mid tier wrestlers will draw a crowd of a couple people, and have decent foottraffic for the hour or so they are there.

I walked over to a dealer's booth where I usually pick up a few odds and ends, and pulled up a chair and talked with the dealer for a while, and eventually picked up some stuff and left.

While I sat there, Virgil paced, reoganized his pictures that he was signing a couple times, and actually had to rewind his highlight reel tape 2-3 times... during this time, NOONE went his booth. If people passed by to go to the bathroom or to look at table of old baseball memorablia, Virgil would jump up try to get someone, anyone to pay attention to him.

Well, it would be nice if they didn't bury things that are getting new episodes at like 3-5:30 AM. I get that after a while they'll want to push GitS later until they get 2nd Gig, but YuYu Hakusho makes no sense... they pushed it, and pushed it, and are now airing brand new episodes at 5:30 AM. That's just seems dumb, especially when showing the same Stroker and Hoop or Robot Chicken for the 5 time.

Toonami and Miguzi seem to get shuffled around all the time, with shows disappering into oblivion, yet some tremendously underwhelming [AS] product get run, and run, and run...

I'm starting to hate UPS. Today I just realized I accidentally shipped a package to the wrong address. So I call up UPS this morning thinking it wouldn't be a problem seeing how the package hasn't been actually, physically shipped yet. Well apparently I was wrong. As scary as it is, most phones have their own forums. I spent a fair amount of time as a guest in a few of them trying to figure out how to get custom ringtones onto my LG phone... apparently my phone is so old that it's incapable of doing this, however.

If you have a Verizon phone, I know you can send emails to your phone (phone#@vtext.com, I believe) and attach the file in the proper format for your particular phone, that is, if your phone supports receiving attachments to emails/text messages. In the same fashion, I had read that you can use the memo recording function of some phones to record your tone and proceed from there...

Damn, I was just at Target today. I made a note to check out the Harry Potter dvds for $5 but didn't think to look for anything else. I did however, finally pick up Mario Kart DS for $28. I'm having a helluva time trying to set it up for online play, though.

Just got back from a late night run to CC, and picked up a few cheap games and some CD's I've been looking for. I picked up Metroid, Super Monkey Ball, Jr. and Prince of Persia on GBA, two were $9.99 and $9.96 and the other was $6.96. Along with that was DBZ Budokai to replace the copy I sold for FFXI, which was $6.96. I also picked up Stephen Lynch's newest CD that I've been looking to get since it came out and picked up Blink 182's Buddha, which I've been looking for for years. Nice way to end the vacation.

Just woke up and feeling much better than when I went to sleep. As for the transformation of CAG into gamefaqs, I wouldn't know anything about that as I was partying it up in college so online forums weren't a big priority. But now, being out in the working world, partying isn't that big a deal to me as much as it used to. I still go out almost every week but it's usually to a bbq or a bar or a nightclub with intent to hook up rather than blitz myself into alcoholic oblivion (as was the case in college) this Thanxgiving weekend notwithstanding. Now that I'm growed up, I also find myself not having to go to the obvious meatmarkets as much either since my game has picked up & evolved beyond the drunken hookup. Plus, I get to spend more time online. Thank goodness for teh intarwebb. :lol:

I think CC goes by the "Meh, close enough" policy of putting games in order on the shelves. I've talked to CC employess from other depts. that were baffled by why the games weren't really in much of an order.

There is a story. Jonathan and his cousins went out. This being the boonies not many places to go.. so they went to get trashed. Jonathan didn't drink but to hang out. I stayed behind to watch the kids. Well Jonathan comes home earlier than the rest because they started getting really dick and stuff to Rikki Laura. When Shane finally gets back with the others he's been throwing up for awhile and he ends up crashing on the bed (where I was going to sleep :cry: ) He starts making the most god awful noise. Jonathan was already asleep on the matress on the floor, and Rikki Laura was at the computer. His snoring actually woke Jonathan up which is a feat within itself.
Well Rikki Laura was pissed at Shane so she paints his toe nails hot pink (I picked the color), puts makeup on him and sprays him with perfume. She video tapes the results and tapes his snoring with a casette. I swear this was the most awful noise I had ever heard.
He got up in the morning before everyone else and was convinced that Corey did it. So Shane has his girlfriend tape him pulling his shorts down and farting in Corey's face. I was on the couch above the floor Corey was sleeping and woke up. Shane was going to get someone with Whip Cream when I explained it was Rikki Laura and since he didn't feel right pranking a pregnant girl he left it at that.

Not really that great but amusing enough. I managed to get away without being tackled, without my stuff getting broken, and with my dignity in tact. Also I got tons of food and random stuff.
