I just got my DS today, picked up a few used games yesterday. The games load up fine, those being Lunar, Advance Wars, and Kirby Canvas.
In Kirby, the stylus is pretty much impossible to use, which makes the game impossible to play. The stylus is only recognized about half the time, and its only recognized in the spot I use it half of those times (i.e. I try to draw a line in the middle of the screen; either nothing happens, or it stuns an enemy on the other side of the screen... moreso, if its doing that, I can tap almost anywhere and it will register as a tap on the enemy). I just put on the Hori screen protector, which I thought might be the problem, but it works a lot better in Advance Wars. Advance Wars seems a bit touchy with how I double-tap and all that, but at least wherever I tap the stylus, it registers.
Could this be a defect with the copy of the Kirby game? Seems extremely odd, but I suppose possible. Any other potential causes?
Awfully depressing that I've had to deal with this and my extreme lack of ability in applying the screen covers to start off my DS experience. But at least Mario Kart is fun.
