Animal Crossing DS Fans - Pick up Nintendo Power Jan 06 issue!

Hey all.

I just got the new January 06 Nintendo Power magazine...and its a real treat for Animal Crossing fans. It has a 8 page look on the DS title (with new information), as well as a pullout calender detailing all the special events that happen in the game for the entire year (of 2006).

It also convers Mario Kart, Tony Hawk, and WiFi in general.

Its a little longer then there normal 'pull out' posters they have. Its double sided.

Nintendo Power should be the nest magazine out there, they should have inside scoops on every Nintendo product there is, but they don't and for the life of me I can't understand why. GameCube would be a bigger success if NP included some sort of playable demo every month or even the DVD like they did the month after E3.

Back on topic. If you already got yours mine should be sitting in my mailbox since I haven't picked up my mail in two days. :)

It is a good article, lots of info.
I myself am a proud NP subscriber, and have been for many a year. Its not that bad of a deal, considering they give you a gift when you subscribe, worth almost as much as the subscription.
The magazine also seems to be slowly improving.

But seriously, I got this NP today. I was sold on the game before, now i'm in full fanboy mode. I loved AC on the GC.. I can't wait.

It's kinda weird that I got NP, actually. It's only my second issue and it says "Last issue! Renew now!", and I never ordered a subscription to begin with.

Well, if everyone's getting theirs, I should get mine in about a week or two. They don't like me, if my first three issues were any indication. And of course, I just got around to renewing my subscription last week. They said my next issue would be January, but who knows how quickly they process new subscribers.

They send out 3 free issues when you do..

I'm guessing you opted to get the 3 free issues by registerting things on the website and forgot about it :)

Yup. And then they'll let you subscribe for a year for like 10 or 12 bucks. Not a bad deal. That's how they got me! :)

Back OT: The whole issue is pretty good, but the AC info took the cake. I thought the post cards were a nice touch.

I only get the magazine because it was free and I hardly if ever read it, but Gamepro gave Animal Crossing for DS a 3.5 / 5.0.

They weren't that enthused about it.
