well CC checks to see if its in, so you are screwed if Target is sold out, also this really belongs in the same thread as the other DS for 100 because its part of the same deal

I'm not sure how CC's promo packages work though. The GBA BF deal looked the same way. The system itself was discounted to $28. The thing is, if you return the game, does it alert the employee that its part of a discount and boost the price of the system back up, or is it all manual? I didn't bother trying, just making a note.

usually when you return a part of a deal it nullifies it

I was wondering how this worked since i had a similar thing on my reciept when i bought a deal at circuit city pre black friday where you got a gba sp backlit and f-zero gp legend for free with system purchase. On my reciept it said gba sp system 68$ and the game was worth like 12$, but they both rang up separate and under a promotion just like in the reciept above.

If i pricematch and get free junkie game. I rather go back exchange that junkie game into gift card or exchange with Mario & Lugi or Animal Crossing which comeout soon...the pricematch with BB coupon $10 off....... ;)

Just print this out, it's precisely what I handed the chick behind the counter.

Seriously, you could probably photoshop whatever you want in there. She looked at it for 5 seconds, tops, keyed it in, and threw it in the trash.
Yeah, YMMV, but if it helps, I called a friend across town and he did the exact same thing at another CC.

Your photoshopping is not up to snuff. Like every crime its about the details. You are on page 1 the deal is on page 56. At least keep it on the same page man. That's as bad as leaving a gun.

That's nice, but I searched for "nintendo ds" in the box to the left, as you can clearly see. I didn't even look at any of the pages.

Haha, no, that's legit. He did the search for DS, and clicked on it, brings up the same image.

Just to clarify, I consider everything I did to be legit. I did no photoshopping, and made no arguments at CC. It was probably the easiest discount I ever got on anything in the history of stuff.

Yeah considering it wasn't Photoshopped in the first place.

Just a reminder of the caveats --
There's no guarantee that CC will:
1) PM Target's $99 price
2) Ring the promo game up separate
3) Even have a promo game
4) Take the promo game back and credit you for it
So if you're intent on trying it, don't get too attached to that extra $20. Worst case is you get stuck with it at $97, that's still a few bucks less than Target because of CC's 10% difference on the PM.

You got lucky, generally cc does not stack offers, it is usually the better of the two. And also usually when something is ret as part of a pkg the system will prompt you if you want to add anything too it, but congrats on your deal and hopefully some other people here can get in on it too!

Looks nice. I wish I could get a cheap DS using this method, but I can't even afford the $100 right now.

Well, may have worked before, but it doesn't now. Positive, I checked entire Target site, searched and all.
Looks like someone here scammed Circuit City to me, I wish they'd posted the exact link to this 99.99 DS because... it's just not there. Please post the link someone, prove to me it isn't a photoshop job.

It was in the online copy of their December catalog, it was a misprint that they have since changed (at least in the pop up that is easily visible).

=D
Key thing to getting this is to BRING THE COPY OF THE EMAIL sent by customer service wit hthe phone number on it to call or tell the customer service guy to call it. He probably won't call it, just see the number and give it to ya. Other thing is, just go directly to customer service (after you "look" at the DS, that way they don't get the drift), don't ask a cashier.

Are you talking about Target? Even if you go to CS first, the guy in the Electronics department still needs to get the DS out, right?
And about Circuit City. My store always has to call and confirm the item as being in-stock and at the lower price. And regular price is $129.99 unless you bring in a copy of the ad, so that's a no-go for me.
I would really like to do something like this so I could get a red Mario Kart DS for around the same price. Does anyone know if it rings up as a promo deal or just seperate items? If it's a promo deal code they use then usually the computer will not allow part of the deal to be returned. I would try it but I don't want them to know what I'm up to, because then I'll have to look at them everytime I visit the store.

Ok well, I went today to get it becuase they were out of stock before, and to my surprise... THEY PULLED THEM ALL OFF THE SHELVES. My friend who works for Target said they will pretend they're out of stock at almost all locations until December.... 14th. 2 Days after the add miss-print deal runs out. FURTHERMORE you CANNOT claim a raincheck for the $99.99 price! They did whatever the heck they could to keep me from getting a raincheck, i swear, they even tried to look up my email to them (Didn't believe what I gave them was real...). They even said that since I printed the catalog page out online, and it doesn't have the date on it like the paper version you get in the Thanksgiving-eve newspaper that I couldn't do it either, but I proved them wrong there.
In the end, Target knows what they've done, every store does. Forget about this, they will make you wait while they check "authorities" for 10 minutes, and in the end you can't get a raincheck and they are NOT IN STOCK at ANY Target (even though they really are!!!).
By the way, the cheapest and easiest way to get a Nintendo DS that isn't all scratched, is to buy a used one at GameStop for $109.99 USD. It's in great condition, original box, stylus, etc, everything the DS should have. Maybe you'll get lucky and find an Electric blue one too. That's the cheapest way to get a DS at the moment, that's in great shape, believe me, I am a cheapo who checks froogle and every website and store before buying anything. For a "mere" $10 more (I know that is a lot to everyone here, including me, but it's the best I can find) it makes my animosity towards Target less. I should mention that the used one has no Nintendo warranty at GameStop, only the GameStop warranty.
EDIT: Forgot to include this interesting tidbit: The DS station in the store, which is all purple and says Nintendo DS, was 1/3 full of PSP games which didn't even fit into the slots the NDS games were supposed to be in. The large NDS sign above it was replaced with a PSP sign too, so that there was absolutely no Nintendo DS section there. I figure they'd still like to sell NDS games so I don't understand why they did this.
Also, they told me to call another store location, because they had 22 in stock on the system, but when I called them they said they had none.
Target = Jerks (Can't say what they really are...) :bomb:

You can still try to PM at Circuit City. The Target near here was sold out, that's the only reason I ended up at CC in the first place. It's probably a long shot this late in the game, but who knows, you may be lucky.

Checked that out. Said they won't price match prices from other catalogs that the companies who published them admit were "mistakes".
Congrats on getting yours though and I must say that what you did with the price match was very clever.
