Has anyone else seen this? Went into Target today looking for clearence items and came across this "Arcade" machine in electronics. The thing is put out by Midway and has the following titles:
Defender
Defender II
Robotron
Joust
Rampage
Bubbles
Splat!
Sinistar
Rootbeer Tapper
Wizard of Wor
Timber
Satan's Hollow
Could not play because it wasn't hooked up. Also there was no price tag and the cardboard flyer said it was at Target.com, but I only found the following link and this is a little different

yeah, the guy was building it when I was working there a couple weeks ago. He got it all put together and was playing it. Pretty cool, but I think at $500 a little pricey.

The one on your link is totally different. The one your thinking of is featured on www.getintothegame.com (targets videogame site)

I know the link is different, I could only find that arcade setup, so I thought I'd link it so others knew what I was talking about. Thanks anyway.

I tried it and didn't really like it. The screen seemed too small but most importantly, the left joystick seemed too close to the end of the cabinet. When I was using the left player side, my hand was constantly hitting the end of the cabinet. I also didn't like the assortment of games much either but that's just my opinion and of course not related to the cabinet. Had they included some better games and made the cabinet and screen larger, I would have considered getting it.

I saw but didn't get a chance to play it due to some else playing. But just by the look, I could tell it wasn't worth the $499.99.

I played it. It seemed to play fine but the games weren't very impressive. Also the monitor seems like a 13 inch tube tv from 15 years ago. Interestingly inside the cabinet (door swings open) there is a rca jack input. I am not sure how you could hook in a game console because you would still be using the controllers and not the arcade joystick on the unit.l

There was a cartridge inserted into the one I saw. If not yet, it appears that it is designed to allow the use of different carts with different games.

Who would want that when they could have Street Fighter and 80 other games many Capcom classics? http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11098104&whse=BC&topnav=&browse=&s=1
