Mine sure is hell is. The online PDZ is awesome and Kameo is a work of art. I love the music in both games as well.

Nope, I wasn't overly impressed with PD0, infact I was kind of disappointed. It wasn't as good as the Original N64 version. Graphics were decent, Not Next-Gen quality thou but I found that to be the only real highlight of the game. And to add to my dislike for PD0 I really HATE the new Joanna Dark.
Kameo I didn't like at all, As I've stated in other topics Its just like Sudeki. Short and Nothing special. And for a game thats been in development since the N64 it was a Major disappointment.
I say both games at best are rentals I wouldn't waste my money on them.
Rare is long gone, They will NEVER be as good as the use to be.
My Faith has not been restored in the least. I'm Waiting for the day MS comes to their senses and just dis-bans the money pit known as Rare.

Whoa! No current generation system could run PDZ and the online is sweet. It plays just like the N64 one and Jo is a hot mamma. Kameo is great and nothing like Sudeki... have you ever even played these games?

What the hell does it take to please you? It's a prequel, so technically, it's the old Joanna Dark. As 3rdkey said, aside from the rolling button, it's pretty much the same as the N64 version. Sounds like you were out to hate it from the start.

man, everybody was out to hate these games from the start. Just look EGM and 1ups reviews of Kameo....they don't give a single good reason for why it deserves a 6.
I think these are two great games and i'll always be interested in what Rare has to offer.
 @ the Sudeki comment. I'll have what CapAmerica's having. Kameo kinda looks like Buki, just a little bit. but that's where the similarities stop.

I don't think they'll ever top Golden Eye or Donkey Kong Country 1

I'm on the fence - Kameo is very, very good - however I'm not liking PD0 at all. I'm only on the second mission, so I'm going to give it more time.

Back to making a couple decent games after about 3 or 4 poor ones in a row? Sure.
Back to making games at the quality they once did in the 64 era? Nope.
I can't pass too much of an opinion on the games because I haven't played them that long particuarly PD0 (I have played Kameo at my friends house for a couple hours but for the sake of length I'll hold on my opinion). Still, I think the big question is will they stumble around for another 4-5 years or so before making another game up to snuff and make MS regret shelling out such a big $ amount for them or step up to the plate this generation and deliver the hits like they used to.

Banjo Kazooie was their best franchise. They should continue it on the consoles, rather then the crappy portable games.

I laugh at the bashes of Rare. People are so fucking clueless sometimes.
Imagine the same thing asked about MGM. They made the Bond movies, The Wizard of Oz and Gone With the Wind. So if not every movie isn't like the aforementioned the studio sucks?
Grow the fuck up people.
I was completely happy with GBTG and Conker. They were both better than 85% of the tripe on the Xbox that I swallowed whole.
My gripe about Kameo is the load screens are way too frequent and really distract from any kind of proper game flow. It's not a very seamless title. Other than that I'm impressed with what I've seen so far.
In regards to PD0 I'm out of town for a week around Thanksgiving and I only have access to a POS TV with only coax inputs and anything on the 360 looks like shyte on a TV with coax inputs.

There needs to be an intermediate poll selection here. Like "It's getting better, but we'll see with the next batch of games." PDZ is pretty good, Kameo is pretty good, but neither are $300 million good.
But like I said, it's getting better.

I judge each game individually. I find most of rare's titles to be mediocre. Especially thier N64 ones.

The only Rare games I liked were Killer Instinct 1 and 2, and Donkey Kong Country. I hope they make a new Killer Instinct game!

I love PDZ, I dunno if I would say they are "back" but I do know they made one hell of a game here.

I'm not sure if my faith is restored in Rare, but I will say that I am glad they are back making fun games again. Both Kameo and PDZ aren't going to break any new ground, but I'd be lying if I didn't say they were an absolute blast to play.

Infection on PD0 is FUN FUN FUN! It's just like zombies on halo 2 if you have ever played that or own a MS system.

I can't believe you actually played either of the games based on your comments. Doesn't seem to make any sense. Either that or you made up your mind before you played them.

Try getting a fucking clue yourself. The movie industry and the gaming industry are apples and oranges. Good movies are timeless. Good games are not, except to hardcore gamers. The average 10 year old doesn't give a shit about Super Mario Bros. or Pac-Man, they want the newest thing available. You can still sit a kid in front of the Wizard of Oz and they'll be entertained.
Rare has not "redeemded" itself, at least to the lofty status it had during the N64 period. PDZero and Kameo are decent, worthwhile games, but they aren't some fucking benchmark that sets the pace like the N64 games were. Blame it on Rare being overrated, blame it on expectations being too high, blame it on Rare watering-down our opinion of them with junk like Ghoulies and Conker, blame it on them totally failing to deliver anything decent for the original XBox when that was the original goal...or throw all four things onto the pile, as that's probably the most accurate.
I'm not saying Kameo and PDZero are bad, far from it. I was especially impressed with Kameo since it didn't look to be anything special at all prior to release...and I don't even like that type of game for the most part. But Rare still has a long way to go before they're worthy of all the screaming from fans this deal originally received.

i believe that Rare as a whole is a talented developer. it not without question that their track record to is great quality wise. However it has taken them YEARS to bring out products which may not dissappoint but at the same time does. redemption is from being achieved it a good start but FAR off the mark.
i have to agree with kanerobot:

I'm loving Kameo a lot right now. PDZ is fun singleplayer, but im having a hard time adjusting to multiplayer battles. I suck.

I personally want to know why it takes Rare so long to make a game. Do three people do everything?
