After two weeks of riding my bicycle everywhere, I'd gotten used to people treating me as if I were somehow not right in the head. Store clerks ignored me, old men gave me the hard stare, soccer moms avoided eye contact."


Either this guy lives in a very different place then I do, he's making a poor attempt at humor, or he's just very self conscious. When I go to a store I have no clue what mode of transportation other customers are using and even if I did know I wouldnt care. Who gives a fuck if he's riding a bike? I sincerely doubt anyone at a store would comment on it or give him strange looks. Just had to get that off my chest.
