360 Marketplace Questions?

Well, I bought two 1600 point cards from CC (when they had the misprice). Anyways, I know you can buy Gamer Profile Pic's, but is there anyway to see what they look like? I lot just seem to have a generic banner....which sucks, because I would like to know what I am buying.

Or, did I miss something?

I was wondering this too, along with the themes that are for sale. The only time I've seen Gamer Pictures displayed was when I was looking at one of the Kameo gamer pic bundles, and it showed the pics that you would be getting if purchased.

They actually show all of the pics on Xbox.com so you have to go through and look at them each. Then, write down the name of the one you like and go back to the 360 and purchase it with your marketplace points.

I will find a direct link to all the pics and what not. Tons of them!

That seems to be happening quite a bit. If you are using FireFox, try switching over to IE and try it again. That has worked everytime I get the unavailable message.

you cannot preview themes, however. I spent 150 points on a Vikings theme, and the background makes everything super hard to read. What a waste.

I used some points on the Penny Arcade theme - and they're okay if you're a fan (and they have a different picture for each blade) - but I think they are kind of obtrusive. I think customizable backgrounds as mentioned in the other thread are the way to go if you're looking for something nice on the cheap.

I like that Condemned theme, but yeah I'm not gonna pay for it. I'll stick with the Halo theme that came with the hard drive.

Perfect Dark Zero's limited edition does this. It gives you about 10 gamer pics and a pretty cool theme. I'm hoping more games will follow in it's footsteps and do the same.

Personally I think if you own the game, they should give you the game's themes and pics for free. I wouldn't know how exactly they could do it since people rent games (maybe by registering it or something) but it definitely would be nice.
