I was at my local Target and noticed that all three (Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers and Return of the King) of the The Lord of the Rings DVDs were on sale for $5.88. I was able to get Fellowship and Two Towers. These are not the extended versions.

I was hoping that these were still on sale from the BF sale, but when I went back on Saturday, they were completely out of all 3. I really wanted to pick up the set, as I grabbed the wrong copies for my bro, wanted FS and I grabbed WS.

IMO you did him a favor buying WS.

I still don't understand why people still want FS crap, especially when Widescreen TV's will be the standard in a few years and they allready are for most Big TV's now a days.

I just bought a Phillips 34" widescreen CRT HDTV. I can't wait to see my DVDs and games on it.

I guess some just prefer a distorted picture, not sure how much it is distorted on his 19" Orion tv though. Both him and my dad would prefer FS to WS.
