Xbox GamerCards bogging down the site?

I've been getting a lot more page freezeups since the (albeit cool) gamertag feature has been introduced. Let me explain what happens:

I'll click on the thread or the "view last post" button, and IE will start to churn. The titlebar will change to the thread that I want, but it won't load. However, on the status bar I'll see all of the gamercards being loaded at roughly 2 per second. It'll take 3-4 refreshes to successfully pull up the page, and each time I can see each card being loaded (in the status bar) at a slow rate. So it'll be like ".......scorchx.card loaded...........shrike4242.card loaded.........." etc.

Anyone else?

nope. smooth sailing. try the microsoft update for your modem. that might do the trick.

No problems here. Pages load just as slow as they always do ;)

Yeah, it's been a week, but I see what you are talking about evilmax. I'm on a broadband connection, and the pages with the Xbox cards seem to take a couple extra seconds to load...not really a big deal, but I just wanted to point it out. (The same username thing appears at the bottom of my IE as well...)

I've been oh the site a lot (and I mean a lot!) recently and I haven't noticed any problems, but I'll keep an eye on it.
