Ha, I could have predicted that. I just don't see any reason to get a console port on the DS. I mean, without playing it, I can guess that King Kong's greatest asset will be its graphics. Can that port to the DS? Hell no. The MSRP on these things is $15 less for a reason.

If you notice, those in your list are DS exclusives. And that's kinda the good and bad of the DS right there. Games made for it will be great, but that means third-party developers will have to spend more to build a game from the ground up as ports of their console games just aren't going to cut it.

Of course, if there are any examples to the contrary of this (good console ports), let me know. Otherwise I will have to continue my preconceived notion of sticking with exclusives.

No, this game reminded me of Turok for the N64. Hopefully they still bring Turok 1 or 2 to the DS.

It's the product of overambitious developers (Criterion with Burnout, and whoever did King Kong).

And it's based on a movie.

I love that all the shitty EA ports and movie titles on DS suck and all the greatest games are mostly original properties.

While it's true EA is the king of shit lately, I think King Kong is by Ubisoft (I could be mistaken though)

Either way, this is a terrible port. what a disgrace

Did Criterion make this, and did they also make Burnout for the DS....if so, as much as I admire and respect Criterion....the DS is one machine that they don't know how to work on.

I checked yesterday, and Criterion didn't make Burnout DS, don't remember who made it but it was Visual something that I've never heard of.

They really should. I would love some ports of N64 games. Just as long as they didn't have the same fog that the original n64 games had.
