How did you find that auction? Seems like a long way from your location.

They don't separate auctions by location, just by category.

I'm jealous. :)

But as I don't even have a house to put it in, let alone meet the requirement for "local pickup", I guess I'm out of luck. Congrats if you do get it, metal.

I've been wanting an arcade machine for the longest time now. I wish that I lived close by. I hope that you get it metal. Sweet auction. I wonder if the ones that Target will have on sale next week are any good and if I can plug in my current consoles to work with it. I might have to cave in.

o.o If I had a truck to get that thing home, I would be all the hell over this.

I'm still thinking of bidding and then seeing if I can shang-hai one of my friends into letting me borrow one of their trucks.

We've had discussions about them before, those who have had time with it in person state they had cheap, shoddily made, pieces of shit.

I was able to play it for a few minutes the other day and I have to agree with you. It's too small and feels unlike an arcade. It's made for short people. I do like the one that Costco has though. Too bad that it's so freaking expensive. The games on it bring back a ton of memories.

If pickup was not required I would buy it.

Sorry, OT, but the costco in my area had standup arcade units that looked high quality w/lots of games included for about $2K. I'm guessing it's basically a PC w/monitor rigged inside a real arcade cabinet, but I didn't look it over all that closely beyond checking out what games it had.
