sure some differences may be subtle, but for people to vote there IS no difference between the 2. Also the whole thing is done retarded. They label Quake 4 as Xbox for one picture. 1up always does halfassed stuff like that. They have a huge backing from a major publisher but sometimes that site is run so disorganized and is so rampant with mistakes.

I find it really funny that they say NFS:MW has blurry textures. I played the XBox version earlier and the 360 version smokes it. Then they give high graphical nods to COD2, when I think it's one of the worst looking (but one of the funnest) 360 games out there.

what really confused me was comparing the PC with the 360 as in the shift to HD generation? Are they retarded? PC has been in HD for a long ass time already..... apparently they forgot HD just a buzzword for at least 1280x720 resolution.

Most of the ports were built for current gen and then ported to 360. Also games were def rushed to get out for launch. What do people expect?? If you look at the games made just for 360 they look a lot better than the ports. Mainly Condemned and Project Gotham 3.

And just to add one more thing...Screenshots to not do the games justice. See them in motion next to current gen games. NBA 2K6 player models look amazing on 360 compared to the current gen and people vote they cant tell diffrence....

What is most sad is the state in which much of the video game media has composted into simply hype vehicles for previewing games and systems and then into smear vehicles for once a game or machine is released.

The IGN, EGM, Gamespot, etc really are starting to have that Teen Beat, Tiger Beat feel to them. (just my opinion I could be wrong) How long do we have to talk about whether Leif Garret or Chachi is the cutest or whether 360 or PS3 is TRULY next gen.

Report on the product. Of course I'm not surprised as so much of reporting is going along this line just look at the last election, we can't look at simply the platforms and difference of opinion between to candidates, we have to constantly debate and poll and question whether Kerry truly is/was a patriotic veteran or whether George Bush really is/was a president who served well during a tough time. Both sides have to focus on arguing about very peripheral things instead of focusing on the pressing questions at hand.

In the xbox360 'debate' it should be simply asked ---- Is the xbox 360 worth $400 or not? Maybe in somepeople's minds it isn't next gen.. but if they enjoy it and find it worth the money than great, they have found something of value that brings joy! Likewise if someone truly believes this is the 'next big thing' and the examplar of 'next gen' yet doesn't enjoy the system nor its games than that person should refrain form purchasing at this time.

The basic question is "Can I justfiy spending 400 + dollars on this system or not" If the 360 sold for 99 dollars I bet you that there would be very little if any 'debate' about whether the 360 was next gen or not because most would see it as a bargain for a significant increase in speed, graphics, etc.

Honestly, what else do you expect these gamesites to do? There are very, very few releases in December for any of the consoles (current gen or next gen), yet the writers and editors of these pages still get paid, so they have to get the new content from somewhere so people will continue to visit their sites. Basically, when there is no real news to report, you create your own news by conducting polls and then writing about the results. Major newspapers like the New York Times do this all of the time.

Screenshots don't capture LIVE capabilities, Arcade, HD gaming in action, and the streaming media functions of the 360. The 360 is most definitely a next gen console. EA ports and co.'s games are not so next gen... They're focusing on the wrong problem.

I can't find an Xbox 360 therefore it sucks. I can see people's point of view though - there's nothing really AAA about any of these launch games (like most launches). It will take some time until the next-gen truely arrives but it's a decent start. The only launches in history that I can remember thinking a launch title was worth the price of the system was the N64 (Mario64) and Dreamcast (Soul Calibur). The NES I guess fits in there too but I didn't get mine until Summer of 1986 - after the launch.

I certainly hope graphics aren't near topping out right now... we aren't even close to photo realistic and I think it will be a long long time before we get something along the lines of Finding Nemo or The Incredibles. Toy Story is 10 years old and we don't even have that quality yet...
