lol there was an anime convention at my university yesterday, i had the misfortune of stumbling upon it on my way to an early ass class.
there were 300 lb female inu-yashas, 80 lb prepubescent female vashs, and a bunch of half assed costumes.
its one thing to laugh at these people online, but to be there, surrounded by them, i was flabbergasted

Ok, that Blanka looks more like Cham Cham from Samurai Shodown. I can't tell if 'Sakura' and 'Cammy' are actual females. The fat kid in the middle is supposed to be Guile I guess? That's horrible. And the dude that is dressed as Vega cannot look any more disinterested. "Yeah, I got claws....zzzzzzzzzzz...."

Here's a funny story for you that's somewhat related. A few years back (ok a lot of years back), some friends of mine went to the VSDA convention in Vegas (VSDA=group for video store owners). At these conventions, you would see the studios try to hawk all sorts of shit (and I do mean shit) to the video stores. At the time, games had just gotten big representation at the convention, so Capcom or someone had a couple of people there dressed as Street Fighter characters, specifically Guile and Cammy.

Now, one of my friends got pictures of both (not photos, but some of that official game art from the first SFII on SNES) that the 'characters' had signed. Guile signed his "Keep on street fighting." But that's not the best part. See, when I said it was a convention for video stores, I meant ALL types of stores and videos. The porn section at the convention was huge. Well, one porn actress was taking pictures with guys. She would raise her shirt then grab on to the dude's package for the picture. My buddy says he saw 'Guile' wandering away from his booth to the porn section, and managed to see 'Guile' get his picture taken with this actress. Sadly, he did not manage to get a picture of this. If he had, then THAT would be the best cosplay photo of all time.
