Anyone check out the 2005 reincarnation of Dr Who - I wanted to see if it was any good?

I'm going to get a copy of this if they release it in the US, check out the cool box:

It's okay. Some episodes are better than others. But I was hgihly disappointed at the ending.

What iteration are they on now? 9 or 10? I thought DR. WHO could only regenate 12 times...After that he has to steal bodies ala, the Master?

Well, In Dr Who lore there are a number of ways which a Time Lord can get a new batch of lives after Twelve. There was the healing blue flame from an episode of the fifth Doctor. Then there were two remedies from episodes during the Fourth Doctor. One had to do with a special elixir and I forget what the other one was about.

I can't actually reveal which generation the Doctor is currently in because that may be a spoiler. And supposedly the last, the twelfth, Doctor is an evil Doctor. But "who" knows.

One thing I can say, this series is a darker, edgier series. But I just didn't like how they ended the season. And I didn't like how they had to make the show so angst driven. I don't think this is a spoiler because they reveal it in the first episode, but the Doctor pretty much has become the universal, "Angel of Death."

Basically, if the Doctor shows up, you're fucked.
