I haven't actually bought anything from buyrite.com, but I've heard horror stories about them for YEARS. They're so bad that someone actually started an anti-buyrite.com website - http://www.boycottbuyritegames.com/

Stay away - far, far away!

Awww.... that's too bad. :( I was going to buy the Spyro Collector's Edition (all 3 PS1 Spyro games) for $25. At least I didn't buy it from them and get nothing. Thanks for the info; I guess I'll just order it from Amazon.com for $30.

Do NOT buy form Buy-Rite. They (or rather "he", seeing as it's run by ONE person) took forever to ship my import Game Boy Advance. We're talking MONTHS here, not weeks.

I just visited that anti-buyrite site and the stories are pretty horrible. I am glad I had never heard about that site until now.

Sounds just like another hide behind the great internet wall of deciet company.

Funny how places that deal in hobbies think that they are dealing with all moronic children. I have been experiencing this crap since I was a kid. Hobby shops, comic book stores, gaming stores all suck. I was collecting comics for years until I wissened up to there bull. I am in the gas car hobby now and was so frustrated at the less than helpful service at my local hobby shop that I read everything I could and did all the work on my own. I also buy on-line at reputable stores to avoid these problems.

People, do your research and avoid these arrogant, sleazy, creeps that hide and swindle there way to earning a living. Avoid stores that treat you like your a child when your an adult.

I wish everyone the best and enjoy your hobbies while avoiding these problems.

bad experience with them. lots of great prices on games that i'll never see.

it's easy for a site to list cheap prices across the board when they have no intention of selling/sending you anything.

Yeah from what i hear, they take the order first and then they go find the game somewhere (from another game shop) and send it to you. They don't even have most of their stuff in inventory. Thats why it takes them so long. If they can't find the game they already made you pay for, you are screwed. I also have never ordered from them because of the stories. With so many complaints out there and such bad service that they offer, I also wonder how they are making any money. I think someone in North carolina needs to blow up their store. I can't stand dishonest people.

To play a little devil's advocate, I've ordered from them 5 times, and was very pleased three of those five times, including when I purchased a Japanese Dreamcast (early 1999), however, keys to success include phoning in the order, and not using the online system, and staying on a problem once it arises. Granted when they started to ask for Credit Card customer service phone numbers, I stopped ordering from them, that is very slip-shod in that they can call pretending to be you to cancel any disputed charges.

The two times I was displeased, I was sent a used game as new and had a buy-rite sticker on the disc, and the other was a 3-week shipping debacle.

Wow how could this company still be in business. They swindle their customers by selling games they don't have. Hopefully someone will shut them down for fraud.

Actually they just got bigger and opened a new B&M store about 3 months ago.
