I was at the one on Morena at 7:30 AM, they didn't have much there but I got Def Jam 2, so I went to Chula Vista which I got Pikmin, Pirates, RE4, then I went to Grossmont and got Unreal Championship 2, Blood Rayne 2, and Wario Ware GC.

The TRU in Escondido has several Tekken 5s left on Thursday, the Mira Mesa store had 3 MK-D KE and the store off of L St in Chula Vista had several copies of Pirates and Psyconauts. Chula Vista pulled most of thier stock and had it in piles on the floor so you couldn't see it in the cases, so they still might have some games.

I met Nealocus(really cool Cagger) at Morena before 8:00(1st in line), we were shut out of RE 4's. I picked up DDS and Psychonauts. I already traded DDS for Sma. vs. Raw 06.

We then high tailed it over to Chula Vista and were in huge luck as they had 6 RE's and many mnay Pirates. To bad that no-one had any Conkers.

I have to say that this sale has to go down as one of the coolest ever.

The only other one I can compare it to is a Best Buy sale near the end of the DC run that netted $5 off 2 DC games. They had them on clearance so I bought 8 games for less then $40.

Getting games of RE quality for $10 is nothing short of amazing.

Just think, Nintendo, Genesis and Super Nintendo cartridges were $60 or more when they came out.

Heck, Virtua Racing was $80 when it first came out for the Genesis.

We are truly living in great video game times.

i go to school at UCSD, but i'm at home in oxnard for the holidays... i stopped by the TRU here and picked up ff 1&2, SRS, Psychonauts, and Dynasty Warriors 5... didn't really have much of a good selection, but for $40, all of it was a steal... I hear from a friend that the mira mesa tru had crap, save for a couple pikmin 2s and a few doom 3s

I'll also be at the La Mesa TRU at opening (assuming they open at 10:00) to see if they have any of the new 4.98-9.98 Games.

My brother also wants to check out Fry's Tomorrow, so hopefully they'll have some kind of Video Game related deals.

I stopped by the La Mesa TRU today and picked up what I believe were the last copy of King of Fighters Collector's Edition on PS2 and Wario ware inc. Mega Party Game$! on Cube. I also snagged a copy of the Wario ware inc. Mega Micro Game$! on Advance, which I believe there was one or two left after I got mine.

Yeah, I'm from the SD/CV area and I just heard about this TRU deal on the 29th. FOund out about this site the same day, and man you guys took everything!! I managed to pick up Doom 3, Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2, Killer 7, and Killzone. But anyway what a steal. Sure beats paying $59.99 for a damn X360 game. Thanks again guys.

As far as I know, the Gamestop in National City (where I bought mine) had two more in stock. Also, my friend bought it in a Gamestop in Chula Vista on Saturday.

Your best bet is to call the Gamestops around you just to verify that it's in stock...Then go immediately. My friend and I did...And well, when he called CV Gamestop they had 5 in stock. He left right away and arrived with only 2 available.

But if it helps any (even if you're all the way in Mira Mesa), I can vouch for GH being sold out in: Best Buy (Chula Vista, Mission Valley, El Cajon), Walmart (Chula Vista, National City), Fry's, Gamestop/Planet X (Plaza Bonita Mall, Chula Vista-across from DMV).

Yeah I'm starting to kick myself for not picking it up earlier. Over a week ago, I saw a table with assorted accessories and found at least 5-6 copies of Guitar Hero and now I can't find one to save my life. This is another post-Xbox 360 addiction/hunt that I must finish.

Looks like I'm going to be constantly bugging Best Buy, GS and EB for the next couple of days, I'm just relying on BB the most for the $10 off coupon and I've heard of some Target sightings too.

I'm not too sure if any of the stores have them. The only advice I could give you is to call around. The Chula Vista store (E H St.) definitely does not have it as I picked up the only copy we had. Sorry I can't be much more of a help.

Wassup SD/619 CAGs!

Just letting you guys know (posted a more in-depth description in the main thread of the K-mart sale) I scoped out the 4 K-marts within our area today: Chula Vista, San Ysidro, Fletcher Parkway & Third Avenue. The only one that seemed to have some what of a sale was the one on E H ST in Chula Vista. I managed to get Eyetoy groove w/ camera for $15 (about 3 more left from what I saw; at the bottom of the gamecube games section) and Coldwinter.

Other than that the other 3 K-marts had no idea what I was talking about. They said something about a liquidation sale starting tomorrow (Sunday) and that they would start @ 10% and work their way up weekly/daily until everything was gone. The sales associate didn't look like she knew what she was talking about, so I didn't bother to ask. It looks slim, but if you can dig through all the mess in those K-mart glass windows I'm sure you can find something you'll like (I know I did). However, some K-Marts differed from others where there was a disagreement on what games were on sale.

I hope this helped you guys out somewhat at the very least. Also, I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of sales were going on at the TRU up in Mira Mesa too? Thanks in advance.

Speaking of the Mira Mesa TRU that's closing, I checked out their RZONE and it was nice compared to the ones down here in CV. I managed to pick up some of their $9 games for $8.98 with their 10% off video games sale. Wasn't much there but I did see lots of Bloodrayne 2's, and one more Deus Ex: Invisible War if anyone was interested. Other than that, the X360 games were also 10% off as well as their accessories. I forgot to ask if their premium xbox live packs that were $69.99 were also 30% off since they were labeled accessories; they should be though. Other than that, not much around there though.

On another note, the K-Marts I talked about in my last post in this thread will increase their sales % every Sunday until everything is gone from what I've heard.

I haven't had any luck at the two Gamestops I went to for either a Nintendogs or Mariokart DS bundle pack. Does anyone know if all the Gamestop stores stopped selling them on a certain date? I know they're all limited edition but I swear that about three days ago they had them in stock.

I would prefer to know if any other Gamestops had them since I need to find an excuse to cash in my $43.09 Gamestop StoreBucks voucher.

me and my friend patrick hit up encinitas, escondido, and carmel mountain afterward and couldn't find sf: A#, the only game i really wanted. i DID see it for xbox in the encinitas one, but i wanted a ps2 one =X

In case some of you guys didn't know...They're building a new Tilt next to EBGames in Horton Plaza. I say it's about damn time they had one there. I walked past it and it seems that they knocked down an entire wall in the back for more space...The place looks pretty big. I've been checking up on it every week that I go there, and they're working fast on it. Last week they were barely cleaned up, and now it's clean with lighting fixtures *bright yellow* wall paint.

I just hope it's as good as Mission Valley gamewise.

The Grossmont Center Circuit City didn't have a single 8.96 ds game at all when I got there. I'm guessing someone cleaned them all out at once instead of leaving some for others. I nabbed the last Final Fantasy IV and Wario Ware Inc. The only thing that was really left was Sigma Star Saga and Dr. Mario.

I also went to the Clairemont Mesa Circuity City and they had one Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls left (which my friend purchased) and I grabbed one Tales of Phantasia (not sure if they had anymore). I had to ask an employee check the computer if they were in stock and have them bring them out from the back. They had absolutely no ds games that were part of the clearance sale in stock.

Didn't go to any other CC's but I imagined that they were similar.

La Mesa and Point Loma stores had almost nothing left. i was telling another CAG that to me, they looked suspiciously "picked clean". there were some scraps:

my buddy bought the last Whac-a-Mole and Guilty Gear from La Mesa. they had 1 Metroid: ZM left, some Dr. Mario/PuzzLG and a few of the not-very-good GBA games. they may have also had a few Spyros. they were kinda slim on PS2 and XB selection as well, but i wasn't really after those, so if that's what you're looking for, they may still have some goodies.

Point Loma (near Sports Arena) had a couple good GBA games that i skipped: 1 copy of DK:KingofSwing and 1 Yoshi's Topsy Turvy. i bought their last Whac-a-Mole and the last Halo Triple pack as well (i don't have Halo 1, so i thought i'd pick it up, but now i'm not so sure i care about it, and if anyone finds an Advance Wars DS, i'll gladly flip it with you). this store had TONS of Half Life 2, Matrix:PON, Castlevania:COD and a few other $9 console titles. they had almost no clearance DS games to speak of.

i went there twice: once at around 2:30pm, and then i came home, saw the list updated, and went back around 3:30. i bought 2 of MP (one for myself, and one for a friend who came with me to the other two after he got outta work), and there were two lying around. one in plain view, another mixed into the Magnetica facing. he called them? they probably lied. the employees there are pretty nice, but most of them are very lazy (from what i've seen). i'm not saying it's not sold out, but in all likelihood, they just walked by the aisle, took a quick glance and said "nope."

Clairemont CC is completely wiped clean, and when I say wiped clean, I mean it. PL does have some decent titles left like HL2 and Mark Eko, but other than that, it's done lol. And Ma12Kez how come you don't have a headset for when we were playing that co-op game? Lol

yeah, i went to CC with my lil bro today to get my better-late-than-never free DS Lite accessory pack, which amazingly still went off without a hitch. all the goodies we (SDCAG) gutted last week were still pretty much gone -- nothing really restocked except now there are 4 copies of FFI&II, where before there were none.

we then hit BB and i returned NSMB which i'd bought a week or two ago. we wandered around a bit but i didn't think to look for the GGC since the last 3 times i was there (up to and including one week ago), they had none. lame. oh well, at least they might keep them on hand all the time now, so i'll pick one up next time i'm there. thanks!

Yeah, I also went to National City CC and the rack was the same old thing. Though I decided to actually pick up Ultimate Spiderman and Goldeneye. They are decent games.

I also went to Grossmont and Clairemont, both were pretty empty. Clairemont had polarium, but I just didn't want to pick it up.
Someone also decided to throw Resident Evil DS in the clearance rack and gave me the false hope that it would be 8.95.... Those bastids.

just stopped by the CC in National City. i don't know how, but my pal found a lone copy of Kirby and the Magic Mirror. they also had two copies of Indigo Prophecy for the Xbox, which my brother and i bought, along with two Sin: Episodes for the PC.

they seemed to replenish some of the Xbox selection: there were PLENTY of Half Life 2, Far Cry Instincts, Matrix PON, Mercenaries, SSX on Tour and a couple more i can't remember.

i didn't really look at the PS2 section much, and the GC and DS/GBA sections were picked pretty clean still. the FFI&IIs from a few days ago are long gone.

EDIT: btw, BB in Chula Vista does indeed have the GGC now, as previously mentioned. i asked the cashier how little i could put on a card and she replied, "i don't know, i guess one cent." so i put a penny on one (with a nickel!), and at first she thought it was funny, but by the time she handed me my receipt, i think she was annoyed. i find that satisfying, somehow. anyway, easiest 5 off 20 coupon ever. have at 'em!

my friend and i each picked it up. for under 10 bucks, it can't be beat. if you've never played any iteration, you're in for a treat. it's a very good puzzle game, kinda similar to Dr. Mario and Columns. It hasn't changed much over the years, but it's a tried and true formula, so it still works (like Tetris). if you like puzzle games, i definitely recommend yummying down on this.
