Kinda lost some steam for me, around the end. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, though.

YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i think there is either 24 episodes, or 26, although 26 looks more like the answer.
yeah, the show rocks..
there is a dvd set, for about....150 i'd say. contains all the episodes on 8 (was it 6?) disk, in a special box too.

It's 26 eps ...and you can probably get the set for closer to $100 if you look hard enough.

WELL, if you don't mind not getting the official set, you can always go to Ebay! I bought the "Hong Kong version" of Trigun on Ebay for around $30. To keep costs down, they compress it to half the number of disks (I don't think they need so many DVDs anyways). But to be honest, the episodes still look great to me. Heck, I'd buy the real deal IF I had the money.. it seems like a big rip off to me anyways. I won't pay $100+ for DVD sets anymore..
Yes, I did love Trigun. It seems to be a love it or hate it anime.

I love Trigun. I'm actually watching it right now on adult swim. Although I don't really care for the English dubs. Anyways, 26 eps... and yeah the HK version (found on eBay is what I recommend.
It's so good that my sister, who NEVER before watched an anime til Trigun, loves it.

Oh yeah. Have you ever seen Outlaw Star? That's all right. Of course Cowboy Bebop.
And I find something interesting. The anime Rurouni Kenshin and Trigun have similar concepts. The main character has a past that causes many people to come after them. They don't believe in killing yet they both have deadly weapons. There's probably other stuff but Im' tired now.
Check out Kenshin. Good stuff.

Guess what I just found. Well BSD (http://www.bytesizedeals.com/) has a link to the following...
Trigun Vol. 5: Angel Arms (DVD) for $3.00 Shipping is only $1.40 for one DVD or $2.95 flat rate shipping no matter how much you order.

Also if you are going to check out Kenshin, don't forget the OVAs that are released on DVD under the Samurai X name. They are quite good, and imo better than the actual TV series.

I just checked on AdultSwim.com (http://www.adultswim.com) and it says it was the last episode. Tomorrow's episode is the first one.
I watched a few episodes of Trigun, loved it, but I was confused as far as the plot goes, so I waited until it started from episode 1 so I can watch it in chronological order, but never got around to watching it. I think I'll start tomorrow if I remember.

Actually, I wouldn't start tomorrow because tomorrow doesn't have an episode (No Adult Swim on Fridays). Saturday's episode is actually the last one. The series will probably start over on Monday, try it on for size then.

I thought Trigun is okay. But there's a lot better out there. There should be 26 episodes.

Trigun was the first anime I bought as it was being released on DVD, so I have the collectors chrome cards. I enjoyed it, but mostly because it wasn't too serious till the end. I was pissed it came to adult swim since I spent like $200 on the DVDs when I could have watched it for free, but alas, still a good anime. I'm also the proud owner of all the Kaiyodo figures and the Kuroneko (cat) bobble-head. Can't wait for Legato to come out.

There are 26 episodes on I think 7 DVD's. A good anime, but not the best. Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star are better IMO I will buy the official set. I actually bought the official set of FLCL. Now that's expensive

I used to be a proud owner of the Kuroneko bobble head cat until I accidentally broke it in a drunken fit. I was SOOOOO pissed. That was my first angry drunk experience. Let's hope I don't have any more of those.

Trigun's all right...But there's only 3 or 4 episodes on each DVD...Rip off, imo. And I'm not shelling out 100 bucks for the box set, so I'll probably buy the HK bootleg at some point. But from the little I've seen, it's cool. And I have the Kuroneko bobble head in my locker. I see him every morning, heh.

Trigun was pretty medicore to me, main character went out of his way not to kill then cried when innocent people died as a result. I sat through all 8 dvds of it and it just stopped making sense, too much of the stuff that happened was directly Vash's fault yethe kept making the same mistakes over and over.
Kenshin was mentioned earlier in the thread but Trigun and Rurouni Kenshin are not equal, Trigun comes off as a poor man's Kenshin. Everything Trigun manages to do Kenshin does better, from the past coming back to haunt the lead to said lead showing off what they can really do when mad.

Watch FLCL and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Best animes ever. And watch Samurai X, both parts. It's the OVA, of Ruronin Kenshin, not Samurai X The Movie, and a HELLAOFALOT better.

LOL Tekkaman Blade a second to Trigun?! To each his own I guess, even the dub Teknoman spanked Trigun easy.

According to BSD you can pick up dvd volume 5 of Trigun for $3 + $1.40 shipping over overstock.com
But then you have to find the other seven volumes.

Dont get the box set for Trigun, the series is being re-released at a lower price point as part of the Signature line. While a new box set has not yet been announced most likely a new brick will be released on the lines of Orhpen, or the Outlaw Star collection.
IMO, tho, Trigun has some great music and is fun to watch but it really has nothing on CB either in music, character or direction. Also I am turned off by the "extra cartoonish" style that is used at points, but some people really like that.
