Yes. The red DS comes in the MK bundle.

The MK bundle isn't hard to find just yet (though it will be).. it's still available at Gamestop.com.

The bundle is also still available at most online retailers (i.e. BB, CC), so it's still got some time before it's rare.

But back to the OP, have you tried eBay?

I'm in the same boat, tho I'd rather get AC:WW than AW...I've been checking ebay, but it's all $100-120 range for system only, and condition can be a crap shoot. I've been scouring the Trading forum as well, but no luck yet ;_;
