How to maintain your PSP battery pack?

Hey guys. I just got a PSP for Christmas, and was wondering how to get the most out of the battery pack. Is it best to charge it once it's alllll out, or charge it a little bit after playing each time? I'm just curious. I've heard a lot of folks say that if you keep charging an electronic item, the overall charge of the battery goes down and shortens the battery's lifespan. My friend has a cordless phone that will last perhaps 2 minutes before dying, all because a room-mate kept putting the thing back on the charger every time. Anyway, if anyone could tell me something concrete, it'd be appreciated. Thanks!

Rechargable batteries lose their charge if you keep charging it while there's still quite a bit left. So yes, wait until its nearly dead to recharge it.
