I highly recommend you stick with sony and xbox brand cables. They are not that expensive, but are great in quality.

i got my sony component cables for $8 used at gamestop. They work pretty well, might wanna check those out.

I got one from here when it was $5 during the Red Octane sale. Works fine for the job considering the PS2 has a very small amount of progressive scan and high-definition games.
