I get an error at checkout. :(

Ok nm, I got it to work. Pricey shipping though.

Thanks! And to think I was going to get it for $20 this afternoon.

Not much of a savings when you pay $5 shipping. :(

Yeah, first it says $4.83 for shipping, but when I checkout it changes to $6.77. That's almost the price of the f***ing game. WTF? :^o

Anyone played this game? How is it and what's it about?

Got this game when it came out wayyyyyy back. I loved it. But it's all story-oriented, kinda like Shenmue with even LESS action. It's all exploration, no battles and whatnot. But it's still a nice game, and the graphics are good even today. Plus there are 9 different endings, and Homunculus pwns.

I wanted to slap the hell out of Homunculus everytime he talked back.

He was awesome. If I remember, he had a pussy voice, and he looked like a girl, but there was just something about him that was badass. I need to play that game again, seriously. I hardly remember it except for Eike and Homunculus.

I'd say smart ass rather than badass. His voice was so whiny and he had a smart-ass attitude that for some reason irked the hell out of me.

Was that for Ground? When you check out, I think it usually defaults to the shipping option of 2 Day Air with the option to change it to Ground for less money.

I think that is ground delivery. Also it now says back ordered for item status.

Worth pickin' up?

I wanted to add R-Type Final ($32 for just the games) to save a lil' on shipping...but the price pretty much doubled...I hated companies that make money from shipping.

yeah, that's a bitch. i bought this game used off ebgames.com with Shadow Hearts like last year or something.

i just beat it in a day recently. it was pretty cool, although sometimes it took me a while to figure what to do next.

This game kicks ass, I probably shouldn't have sold it but I haven't touched it in a year and it's not like I couldn't get it back whenever I wanted.

Konami really needs to make sequel.

quite possibly the best console exclusive adventure game ever made.

great game for adventure puzzle type, just don't expect much action.

Um, the game is not console-exclusive. It was also released for PC.

Yeah, I changed it to ground at was only like 50 cents cheaper that way. Those bastards.

This was the first PS2 game I rented way back in may 01, I didn't have any games for the thing so I rented SOD and Midnight Club. I ended up playing MC once, and beating SOD.

From what I could remember there was NO action to speak of, at least action you could control.

If you liked adventure games this is pretty good, and sorta hard to find.

I bought this game for $10 during KBToys big sale last year. It's definitely worth the pick up.

I wish the Fry's B&M had it for this price. Shipping is way too high.

I received my Shadow of Destiny from Outpost today. Although it said it was PS2, they sent me the Windows PC version. Has this happened to anyone else or just a mistake on their part?

When I checked out the SOD sale, I saw they had the Fountech AirStyle Wireless PS2 controller for $19.99 (they listed it as a Nuby brand though) -- that is like $20 off, so I ordered it -- it now seems to be sold out:
http://shop4.outpost.com/product/4041302

The AirStyle is the one people went gaga over at 2003's E3. It has not gotten the best distribution in the world, which I think is really weird, but it has gotten the best reviews of any wireless controller on the PS2, hands-down. I guess it just goes to show how tight the market is with companies like Pelican, Logitech, and Nuby ruling the roost.

It just arrived today at the office. I obviously can't play it, but I did open it, and it at least feels as good as it looks -- solid, with a good heft. The underside of the controller is rubberized, and the buttons and sticks feel good when I press them. My kids better get to sleep at a reasonable hour, cause Daddy has plans for tonight...
