When will PSP get a Greatest Hits line?

While this may be a little premature considering how few games (let alone excellent ones) have come out, when do you guys think a Greatest Hits line come out over here? I heard that Sony was launching one in Japan already, but there's probably a lot more games that have been released over there anyway. I am really looking forward to this, because right now I just can't see myself paying 50 bucks Canadian for a mediocre game when I can just go out and get a very good PS2 game for half that price. Anyone hear anything/have any thoughts?

Also, I had another thought the other day: when will UMD movies become supercheap? There's a lot of movies coming out in that format, but nobody seems to be buying in my area. Eventually there will just be a huge backlog of films, so maybe we'll see those UMDs in the bargain bin long before the games.

from what i've heard the UMD movies have sold well enough...not sure about games though...there eventually will be a "The Best" line, but i don't know when...hope it's soon though!

They do in Japan, my copy of Derby Time was a "PSP the Best" version which is their greatest hits.

That about sums it up right there. Gotta have games to put on the GH list before you can have a GH list. We might see some "Value Priced" games but they certainly WON'T be Greatest Hits in terms of being great games...

I owned Hot shots and twisted metal already, but may re-pick them up down the line. Twisted Metal was great IMHO and I kinda miss it now.

I got Twisted Metal during EB/Gamestop's B2G1 free deal (I knew it would be GH, but could not pass it up). I definitely love it. I'll admit, I wasn't too big into Black, but Head On got me back into TM again.

Head On fixed alot of the control issues I had with black, plus the level design was alot better and more user friendly.

Not to mention I loved the online in Twisted Metal Head On. That was the first game I got for my PSP and I still occasionally play it.

I doubt the games will be modified, but if they did, I wouldn't care, since I personally see no point having emulators and ROMs on PSP (IMO, they work like crap and it's better to just play the newer released games in 2006 instead).

No, i said that the 1.5 was able to play any PSP game in ISO form, i never said anything about downloading them. I pay for my games before i back them up, its smarter because you can "overclock" the psp and drastically lower the load times (Smackdown vs Raw being a big advantage).

You're a minority, lol.Actually, I see it being the opposite way. Most people I know with PSPs are playing stuff like Mega Man Powered Up, Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Loco Roco demo, and many other newer games. When I first got my PSP, it came with several roms (since that's what the previous owner did), but I tried them out and thought they were meh, since I mostly played Wipeout Pure at the time. I started to buy some newer PSP games, while also playing the Pursuit Force demo, and upgraded to 2.6. I'm far from regretting it because I play PSP games on my PSP every single day (I'm now running firmware 2.71).

Agreed; the pirating was cool last summer, when the PSP had less than ten games worth playing, but times have changed and upgrading is the overall better deal (IMO, I know a few of you people are still out there, clinging to your crappy ass SNES emu and old game ISOs :lol: )

until they get the N64 emulator to work close to perfect, it will be a while before homebrew becomes a must have.

Most of the launch games go for under $15 these days. Lumines is $12.99 new or $9.99 used at Blockbuster/Gamerush. Target had em (and a whole buncha other launch games) clearanced out at $5-$10.
