Maybe not (although I'm sure at least 1 person might disagree) BUT I know one gamestore sometimes runs a promotion where if you trade in any 2 games you get an extra 10$ credit. If you use that deal with 2 of these games you're getting 5$ in credit free.

These are basically the same damn games each year. The game companies know that all they need to do is update rosters and throw in some kind of stupid-ass fantasy owner feature and people will be happy.
The improvement from 2002 to 2004 isn't enough to justify me going out and buying a brand new game over one that's $2.50.
Count me in for Madden 2002.

I'm the same way, this will be the newest football game I own. Cause the latest football games just have new rosters and not much else new, so I usually just rent them.
Also I've changed the inital post to reflect that NCAA Football 2002 is on back order. Check back monday, cause usually they have new copies in for sports games soon after they go on back order.

I wouldn't get them, even if they are just a mere 2.50, because I really care about "up to date" rosters. Great find, though.

I am with most of these guys. I like football games but I don't like watching or playing real football. I refuse to pay 50 bucks for a football game too. I could care less about updated rosters and dumb features each year cause I'm no diehard. I just picked up Madden 2003 at EB today for 7 bucks used and I'm very happy with it. I wont pay less then 10 bucks for a football game.

Madden 2002 is still very good
I liked NCAA College football 2K3
I have the 2003 NCAA football
For my favorite vg sports (Baseball and basketball) I always get the old games to have the old rosters and players. If football is your game, you should get these.
I bought Sports Talk Baseball for the Genesis in the past year for that reason.
Thanks for posting...I don't know why people insult others on this board for posting deals...you may discourage people from posting the next deal they find which may be a game you DO want.

Yeah.. I'm not a big sports fan, but playing the games is fun. Rosters don't matter to me.. hell, I just bought NFL2k for Dreamcast at EB B&M for $1.80. It's entertaining enough.

College games don't get old really. The guys all have the #'s and positions (unless you edit them), so its not like it matters.

If you were looking for NFL games on the Dreamcast, you should've went to Gamestop. I don't if stores that carry Dreamcast games has them, but Gamestop has all NFL game(except for Blitz 2001 and NFL 2K2) for $.49 each used. That where I went to get NFL 2K, NFL 2K1, NFL Quarterback Club 2001(which sucks), NFL Blitz 2000 for $.49 each.

Why not? Most of us don't give a crap about rosters...hell, I'm still happy with my copy of Madden 64. Beyond that, the game really doesn't change all that much from year to year. It'd be worth upgrading if there was a relatively major difference - say, a new franchise. Other than that, though, why bother?
If I had a PS2, I'd grab it and be damn happy that I did. :D

Madden had better be good, I am buying it from you!
ikik, Madden 02 was the first football game I ever played, and I had a ton of fun with it. I see no reason not to pick these up on the cheap. If anything, they're good trade fodder.
