Anyone notice that CC dosnt even list the play & charge kit on there web site? I have a CC gift card that I wanted to buy some of them with. BB seems to be out as well but they atleast list the product.

that's odd that it is not on the site. they have the rechargeable battery for sale, but not the play charge kit itself.

i got my kit at TRU, they had a whole bunch.

On another note, the Play and Charge Kits I ordered from DVDEmpire have been backordered the past week and a half now.

Don't tell me hundreds of thousands of Xbox 360 owners don't want to keep a box of AA's next to their console and there's a great demand for this accesory.

That would make.... sense.

Why am I not surprised this is becoming the accessory in shortest supply?

As a sidenote, I'm happy that you can plug it into ANY usb port, on the 360 or not.

I leave my PC on 24/7 but I'll be damned if I leave my 360 on for hours just to recharge the damn controller.

They have to be able to fix that with a firmware update.

I agree, that's one of the most irritating design flaws in the 360.

At least MS was kind enough to include Energizers for those of us who couldn't find a play and charge kit. I've been going through a new set of AA's every day or two.

I was wondering if that would work....excellent! I'm afraid to leave the 360 on for fear it might go into meltdown. Using the PC would be great.

I was pissed about leaving the 360 on as well. But now when I turn it off it still charges my controller.

You don't have to leave the 360 to charge your controller. Try turning it off while it's charging. It will enter a sort of sleep mode where one fan stays on while the system is asleep.
