DVD Burner Not Coming Up In Windows Explorer

I just got back from a two week stint in San Antonio, and my DVD/CD Burner isn't registering! It opens and closes just fine, but CD's don't register and it doesn't show up anywhere in Windows. What should I do?!

First check up in Device Manager. If it's there, reinstalling or updating drivers.

If not, try reconnecting the cables.
