I have a bunch of text files from my old comp and everytime I try and open them I get a erro saying that they cant open windows 6.0 files. They are all .doc, theel me there is a cag solution to this.

I suggest you try OpenOffice.org, a free and open source equivalent of MS Office. I wouldn't expect the files to be spotless, though. Microsoft likes to create nonsensical differences in the doc format with each new Office version.

yep, OpenOffice.org will handle Word documents just fine.

If you don't want to use openoffice, you can download the word viewer from Microsoft, but you can only view the files. You can't edit them.

thanks I was just going to put them into word pad anyway.
