Control Issues in Madden

Hi everyone.

I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm trying to customize my control scheme for Madden and want to put the passing vision cone focus to the right trigger. I've done this in the Game Controls panel in the game, but for some reason, the game still maps that to the left trigger. Anyone notice this problem?

I dont have the game anymore, but i think its because the cone only comes on if you press it to be on, as in move the right stick while passing or picking a primary reciever before a play. Since its not really on, but not really off either
