For those of you who don't know, zipzoomfly used to be googlegear. Googlegear was considered right up there with newegg as far as computer parts buying goes, but I forgot about the place when they changed their name. Good company every time I used them.

Zipzoomfly gets an A+ from me. I've never returned anything through them, but their shipping is lightning fast and free, and their prices are great. They changed their name because Google had a problem with Googlegear, not because of a shady reputation. I ordered a flash card from them a week ago and had it at 8:30am on the second day.

I was waiting for $200 too... but 9-months passed and Sony didn't drop the price... so i bit the bullet and got the Gigapak for $300 during X-mas.

Returning it at the store is better then sending it to Sony... they will only send you a refurbished model... I have 1 dead pixel on my PSP... I'm debating if it's worth returning since a replacement PSP could be even worse.

ZZF has a pretty crappy return policy. They really put the ball in your court and make it as difficult as possible to get a return back quickly. According to their policies, they can (and try to) charge a 15% restocking fee on ANY return, even for DOA. Some get stuck with that, some don't. Check resellerratings for horror stories of products not credited upon return, and people getting the runaround after they returned DOA products. I had a HD from them die within about 30 minutes after I got it hooked up and got such a runaround I ended up just RMAing it to Maxtor.

Basically, they ARE totally legit, just not as customer-centric as Newegg, et al. I only order stuff when they have a SPECTACULAR price, or something I can't get anywhere else, or something I can live without for 2-3 weeks (plus) if I have to return it to them.

[I seriously doubt the ease of which you'd get a dead-pixel return with them]

ZZZ is totally legit. I started using them when Newegg began jacking up their shipping prices. Their prices are usually similar if not the same and their shipping options are usually cheaper to Southern Cali.

Agreed on the latter, but I have had problems more than once with their shipping. I've probably ordered from there a dozen times over the past year, and at least on three of the occasions it took significantly longer than expected to receive what I ordered. Their credit card processing turn-around isn't always the fastest either. You gets yer deals and you takes yer chances I guess. B+ from me.
