Noticed alot of CAG's hate on Gamestop... here's a good experience that happened to me, which is a nice change of pace for this board.
Went to get Shining Force Neo, was 44.99 used. Cashier was an awesome guy, we chatted for a bit, found the game and it was manual + game. We looked for the box, for some reason it wasn't there, he said it was odd because it is such a recent and niche game for someone to lose the box.
Long story short, since it had no box he went ahead and gave me a 10% discount on the game and sold it to me for $39.99, used my GS card to go ahead and get another 10% and grab the game for $35.99.
Was awesome customer service, I was very surprised and happy since most GS's won't take any sort of extra discount no matter what condition the game is in.

Wow 10% off because of no box?!
I wish that was a policy for used games.

I could've gotten this game for $30 brand new at Media Play (40% off, would've been cheaper now with 60% off)... but avoided it due to the game sucking and all.:)
I guess you're happy with the deal so good find on your part.:)

For new games they give between 10% - 25% off for no box, depending on how good of a seller the game is.
I dont think they're supposed to do this for used games though.
Anyway, now you have to take out the part of your signature that says 'COMPLETE', as you have one game without a box now :-)

Similar thing happened to me when I bought River City Ransom EX at GS. I took the box that had a price tag that was marked "new" with the price of 14.99 up to the counter and the clerk digs out a loose cart from the drawer. I tell him that i'd like a new one and he says that this one is new and that it was opened to keep it from being stolen. I thought they might have new games behind the counter or something.
He said I could get 10% off of the game if I still wanted to make the purchase. I threw the box at his face and said "Come on!" and walked away in disgust.
J/k
I did take the discount.

The Gamestop I go to always gives a 10% discount for games with no case.

Yeah that's the store policy, but if the store manager isn't there you'll have a harder time getting it.

Haha, I've got a scan of the official cover that I need to print, so it will be complete :D
They wont even give me a discount for new games that dont have a box...
Anyway this game is $39.99 new at Fry's, but you probably dont have one around you.
